Join us on the North End of Big Stone Lake! Experience secluded, lodging for a weekend getaway, or a week's visit! Enjoy abundant wildlife, year round fishing, boating or hunting. Our 3 bedroom home is just right for 3 double sleepers or 6 singles. Fish and enjoy solitude. We sit on 1500 feet of privately owned both groomed and rugged lake shore with lighted concrete boat ramp to access lake. Dock and electricity by shore. • Fire pit • BBQ grill • Private lake access. Please see the images or check out our Website for more details. Look for The North End Lodge on Big Stone Lake. The home has an open floor plan with kitchen island, ample yard space and a 25+ mile long lake to explore. The house is comfortable for up to six people; 3 couples or 6 singles due to bed arrangements . We have a limit of 6 people overnight guests in the home. Note: The property is located in a rural area with gravel roads. 1.5 miles from the closest tar. Please contact us with questions. Rob and Judy, the owners/managers of the property are next door. Only two dwellings are on the 1500 feet of lake shore. We love meeting people and are available to help make your stay comfortable. We love to give fishing tips! This is a rural house/cabin/lodge on the north end of Big Stone Lake on the South Dakota side which borders Minnesota. Depending on the year, our driveway runs through a corn, wheat, or bean fields where you will probably see deer and wild turkeys, and birds of prey. If you close your eyes, you will hear the many sounds of nature especially if you are close to the creek running through some of the grounds. The lake is known for Walleye, Perch, Northern Pike, a variety of bass and more! Ice fishing is phenomenal! This end of the lake is typically not as populated with boats as the south end. Judy and Rob love helping people have a great experience by sharing our fishing knowledge and some of our favorite spots to throw a line in! We are about 15 minutes from Browns Valley, MN and about 1 hour from Watertown, SD; 25 minutes from Ortonville, MN. Around 3 hours from Minneapolis We are a 25 minute drive from Ortonville, MN; 20 minutes from Milbank SD; about an hour from Watertown, SD; or 15 minutes from Browns Valley, MN. A 3.25 hour drive from Minneapolis area, 1.5 hours from Fargo and Sioux Falls area The North End Lodge – Before you arrive……. While The North End Lodge is quite well equipped, there are some things you may want to consider bringing to make your stay more comfortable: Kitchen and cooking: • Paper towels; Plastic food storage bags such as Ziplocks, Aluminum Foil • Bring your own charcoal & lighter if you prefer to use charcoal vs Solaire infrared gas grill (gas is provided) • Grocery stores nearby: Browns Valley, MN: 10 min, limited items. Milbank: 25 minutes, 2 grocery options. Watertown: 1 hour, many options including Target, Walmart, etc. Ortonville, MN: 30 min, 1 grocery store Bring slippers, or clean house shoes if you don’t like walking without shoes in the house please. Sleeping accommodations: • Please let us know in advance if you need the trundle or daybed made up for a sleeping station. • All sheets and bedding along with extras are provided. Bathrooms: • Bring your own favorite basic personal care products. • Towels and washcloths are provided. If you use skin care products which bleach towels or washcloths, please bring your own. Fishing and water activities • Bring your own towels for boat and outdoor activities. Do not take towels from the house outside please. • Bait options: Milbank (about 25 min), or Watertown (about an hour), or Browns Valley, MN (about 10-15min.) • We can keep minnows on the property in the fresh creek water. Please let us know in advance if you need us to pick up minnows for you to purchase. • Gas stations: Browns Valley, MN 10-15 minute drive, across from Cenex is Ben's Service Station, a bait & 92 octane fuel station. Or, Wilmot gas station for gas. • Upon arrival, we will show you how to launch boat at our onsite private concrete ramp, and where to park. Beware of slippery concrete ramp. Do not walk on it. Miscellaneous: • Please share the house rules with all your guests. • Please note that there is an additional fee for each overnight guest over the maximum of 6 people. This fee is $200 each person; each night over our maximum of 6 people. • No pets are allowed on the property or in the home.
