Villa SeaNest Samui is a new modern luxury villa, right on the southern beach of Thailand's tropical island Koh Samui. We can accommodate up to 8 adults and 4 children. Nestled in a peaceful stretch of high-end villas without hotels and mass tourism nearby, you can fully relax in unspoiled nature while still enjoying high-speed internet and state-of-the-art amenities. ACCESS AND PARKING: The villa is easily accessible by local road and a 7 meter wide electric gate with remote control opens up to 2 private car parking spaces on the property. SERENITY: No main road traffic, air traffic or jet skis nearby, making the south of the island the most natural and peaceful part of Koh Samui, unlike the north and east sides’ hectic and noisy mass tourism. Only the birds in the trees and the sea surf entertain you softly. NATURE: The large 1,200 square meter property is landscaped into a tropical garden with palm trees, frangipani and many exotic plants, nestling the bedrooms, lounge areas, bar and swimming pool into a green area opening towards the turquoise blue sea. BEDROOMS: Each a spacious 36 square meters with en-suite bathroom, the bedrooms come with oversized beds, silent inverter air-conditioning, ceiling fans, high speed internet through both Ethernet and Wi-Fi, 43 inch internet-connected smart TVs and 6 meter wide sliding doors fully opening towards the roofed outside terrace overlooking the garden and the sea. Two bedrooms have oversized king size beds (mattress 190x210cm) for singles or couples, and two further bedrooms can function as family rooms with two oversized twin beds ( 2x mattress 107x210cm) and bunkbeds (2x mattress 107x200cm) each. Further, all 4 bedrooms feature a large mirror wardrobe, suitcase bench, shelves, a comfy office chair and writing desk, and multi standard power sockets. INDOOR LIVING PAVILION: Located next to the main garden and pool terrace, it houses a spacious sofa corner with large 65 inch smart TV, a modern fully equipped European kitchen with built-in stove, oven, microwave and large double wing refrigerator, a large crafted wooden dining table and ceiling fans. The indoor pavilion provides shelter on windy and rainy days through its 2.6 meter high glass sliding doors, and can otherwise be fully opened to seamlessly merge with the outdoor pool terrace, bar and garden area. INFINITY POOL AND OUTDOOR LOUNGE AREA: A large terrace, the living pavilion, a roofed rustic outdoor bar and BBQ area are all nestled around the 80 square meter pool, whose white structured tiles emulate the light blue color of the sea. The 14 meter long infinity pool runs transversely to the beach front, maximizing the view to the sea, while a 10 meter wide garden strip between pool and the natural rock beach wall provides a high level of privacy. The pool has a square shallow area for small kids (40 cm high water), with steps leading to the main swimming pool whose depth slopes from 90cm to 140cm. The 4 meter long 90cm deep section is a great depth for young children to play ball, and the 140cm at the far end towards the bar allow you to jump risk-free with fun. The whole 14 meter span is great for swimming lengths in any style. TECHNOLOGY: SeaNest Samui offers the latest in technology with high-speed fiber-optic internet, smart TVs featuring complimentary access to Netflix’s thousands of movies and TV series both for grown-ups and kids, various online news channels, Youtube and web browser to access your favourite internet sites via TV. The state-of-the-art variable speed water pumps and gate motor, as well as the inverter air-conditioning units minimize common noises to a whisper. HOUSEKEEPING AND SERVICES: The rooms and property get a basic daily cleaning. Bed linen and towels are changed every 3 nights. The villa staff, one housekeeper and one gardener, work daily from 8 am to 5 pm. Overtime by our staff, babysitters, massages, transportation and boat trips can be organized at additional charges. We are always glad to support, so please contact us with any requests. Villa SeaNest belongs to its guests 'turnkey', like their own property. We have a housekeeper who understands English and a gardener, both with several years experience taking care of international guests to ensure your maximum convenience. On the owner side, Pat (Thai and English), Jochen (German, English, fair Thai and French) are always happy to assist by phone and action if required. Laem Sor Beach stretches along Ko Samui’s very tropical and native south side. No mass tourism, no hotels, but only upscale villas, small villa resorts and a yoga retreat are scattered along Laem Sor Beach, with many green areas inbetween. Seen from the beach, Villa SeaNest Samui is the direct left side neighbor of Ban Mekkala and approximate 500 meter left from Sahamita Retreat. Laem Sor Pagoda, one of Koh Samui’s famous landmarks, is located at the west end of the beach, about 1 km from Villa SeaNest. Laem Sor Beach is very calm, private and great for walking, jogging, collecting shells, hunting crabs, reflecting and simply relaxing. SWIMMING: During the winter half year (November to March), Laem Sor is a natural, unrestricted swimming beach both during low and high tide. During the summer half year (April to October), the sea level is lower, and a wide swimming channel, running in front of Villa SeaNest Samui and connecting to the open sea, enables protected swimming and snorkeling, while otherwise the beach slopes fairly shallow into the sea, which is very safe for small children to play and enjoy. SNORKELING and BOAT TRIPS Koh Matsum and Koh Taen, to be seen from Villa SeaNest, are 2 popular halfday- or day-trip islands within 20 minutes ride by speedboat from Laem Sor Beach, great for snorkeling and swimming. A bit further away, the famous Angthong Marine Park can be reached within 1-2 hours by boat. BEACH HORSE RIDING This option is available about 1 km east from Villa SeaNest, and starting from there the horses and guides will take seasoned and beginner riders along the whole stretch of Laem Sor Beach westwards to Laem Sor Pagoda and back again. DRINKS and DINNER About 50 meters from Villa SeaNest to the west is the Coco Beach Bar, a picturesque and charming round beach hut with cooling beers, shakes, sundowners and a 270 degree view to the sea. Being remote, the bar is open from approximately 10 am to 6-8pm and is a very pleasant and quiet place for relaxing. There are no restaurants within walking distance from Laem Sor Beach, however many are reachable within a 5-20 minutes’ drive by car or motorbike. Within 5 minutes’ drive (1.5-3km walk) to the east, the Sweet Sisters Café, the Hunter’s Sports Bar and several local Thai restaurants are located. Within 5-10 minutes’ drive to the west, the neighboring fishermen village Thong Krut offers a large number of local Thai and seafood restaurants, besides an original Italian and some fusion restaurants. Within 15-20 minutes’ drive, there is a large array of Thai and international restaurants along Lamai beach, in particular recommended are Sabienglae for seafood and Vitamin Sea, run by Belgian chef Luc. Koh Samui is a fairly small island. Within 1 hour, you can drive one round around the whole island. The airport is located on the opposite side, the Chaweng/Bophut area, and it takes between 30-45 minutes from Laem Sor to get there, depending on the traffic. Accordingly, it is very easy to reach the various weekly night markets around the island, such as Maenam night market on Thursdays, or Bophut’s Fishermen’s Village night market on Sundays within 30-45 minutes driving time from Laem Sor, in (relaxed) local traffic. Samui island by now also features a high number of excellent restaurants, with none more than 20-45 minutes by car from Laem Sor Beach. Food ordering is also an attractive option, and nearby Villa SeaNest (5 minutes’ drive) the Hunter’s Sports Bar offers a large menu of delicious Thai and European dishes, and less than 500 meters east of SeaNest, Martin’s Pizza offers stone oven fresh delivery for hungry villa guests. SUPERMARKETS and SHOPPING In Thongkrut (5-10 minutes drive), behind the 7-Eleven, there is a surprisingly well equipped local supermarket featuring a reasonable selection of international wine, cheese and cold cuts besides more common items. The Makro Lamai is a large supermarket particularly elaborate on fresh seafoods and meats, approx 20 minutes from Laem Sor, and the Tesco Lotus Lamai is a large hypermarket around 25 minutes from Laem Sor with all mainstream items you know from the western world. Fashion shopping, sports outfits, modern cinema and more can be found at the Central Chaweng, around 30-40 minutes drive from Laem Sor. Both are fairly inexpensive, and considering Koh Samui's small size, both are great to explore all of the island.
