This is an apartment attached to a home with a private entrance. Enjoy its gorgeous terraced garden along Kelli Creek. Relax in your private space with a spacious 3/4 bathroom, and full kitchen with oven/range, refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, toaster, and coffee pot. It has a king-sized bed, cute window seat, workspace, dining area, casual seating, and a smart TV, so you can stream your favorite shows. Linens, towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided. Your rental is a ground-floor studio apartment, attached to a house. The living areas of the house are above the apartment and noise can easily be heard from downstairs. The family in the house has a dog, which barks occasionally. If noise is a problem you can notify us and we can ask them to quiet down. They are very nice and have always been super responsive. If you like the outdoors, you'll love the trails and fishing spots that you can easily walk to. The location is very convenient. It's centrally located between the two main activity centers for Juneau. It's 3 miles from downtown, 5.5 miles from the airport, and 12 miles from the Mendenhall Glacier. There are lots of trails within close walking distance. The hospital has a cafeteria - very reasonably priced. There is a coffee shop on the corner and a small restaurant in the training center on Salmon Creek Lane just a 10-minute walk away. There are two miles of paved, pretty flat, trail along Twin Lakes. You can easily walk to the Hatchery which is a super cool, not very expensive, attraction for visitors and you can fish there for free if you have the equipment. Blackerbee Trailhead is just steps away for the advanced hiker and Salmon Creek Trailhead is a 15-minute walk for the intermediate-level hiker. You can also walk to the famous Gold Creek Salmon Bake in 10 minutes. The salmon bake is an all-you-can-eat, upscale Alaska picnic situated in a rainforest setting along Salmon Creek with a short stroll to beautiful Salmon Creek Falls and the entrance to the Old Wagner Mine. You can roast marshmallows over a campfire or have a beer or a glass of wine on the deck overlooking the creek. They have live music and a delicious meal featuring wild Alaska salmon grilled over an open alder wood flame. This salmon bake is included in the discounted tour offerings. This comfortable place is on the bus route with the stop just at the bottom of the street at the beautiful Twin Lakes park - a great place to recreate. It's a 10-minute walk to the hospital and medical facilities, and it's three miles to downtown Juneau, 5.5 miles to the airport, and 12 miles to the Mendenhall Glacier. If you're in Juneau to stock up on goods, Costco is just 2.5 miles away. You'll park in a pull-out on the street. The parking in the upper lot is reserved for the house residents. If you have mobility issues this might not be the best fit if you can't get dropped off at the top of the driveway. It's self check-in so late arrival is not a problem. You'll be given the lock box code a few days prior to your arrival. Make sure you have this in advance before arriving on the property. Check-in is at 4 pm and check-out is at 11 am. We will offer you early check-in and late check-out options, if it's available, a couple of days before your arrival/departure for a fee of $50. If you stay in the summer: Host Kelli happens to be a co-owner of a large tour company with over 25 tours throughout Alaska and offers a 10% discount on all excursions offered by the company to her vacation rental guests. Popular tours offered in Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway, and Sitka include whale watching, salmon bakes, river rafting, kayaking, canoe tours, boat tours, hiking, gold panning, private cars, Mendenhall Glacier tours, jeep tours, Alaska RV and Cruise tour packages, and more. If you’re interested, ask Kelli and she’ll send you the details. Pets are welcome upon approval for a fee. Please inquire about monthly pet fees. We want to offer pet-friendly places and we want your business, but we want you to be happy. We strive to keep the properties clean and maintained for all guests, which this fee helps pay for. You’ll be asked to rate the value of your experience, and If this fee creates a diminished value perception, then we hope you find another fabulous place for your party. We will strive to provide the best customer service and improve as we go with feedback from our guests. We hope to earn your five-star review! Your expectations should be limited to what is promised here, and reviews should reflect how we did with these promises. Before submitting your review, please remember to base it on the following criteria and what was promised to be provided for the price paid as follows: Easy check-in process – You’ll be able to self-check in. Kelli will give you check-in details prior to arrival, including a lockbox code. You’ll be able to access the rental at your leisure after check-in time, at 4 pm. We offer early check-in options if it’s available a couple of days prior to your arrival for $50. Great Communication – Kelli is known to be responsive to guests before, during, and after their stay. You can expect prompt responses to your questions. Please text us for the fastest response. You can also, call her. She’ll respond to website messages as soon as she can. Clean Accommodations – Your private apartment should be sparkling clean. Great Salmon Creek Location – You can easily walk to the medical center of Juneau/hospital. The Gold Creek Salmon Bake, open in the summer, is also only a 10-minute walk and Kelli offers 15% off to her vacation rental guests on all Alaska Travel Adventure tours, including this salmon bake. It's 3 miles from downtown, and the bus stop is at the bottom of the hill. You can walk to go fishing and hiking, a cool coffee shop, and a fabulous park and brand new, super cool playground. It has a great, paved running/biking/walking path along two lakes, called Twin Lakes. Accurate Description of the Space - I try to make continuous improvements when guests make suggestions and do my best to keep the changes updated and published. If I missed something please let me know, so I can update the information. If you are missing something you were counting on, please let me know immediately, so I can try to provide it for your stay. Great Value – Juneau is expensive, especially during peak season, and while this is a more affordable option, we understand that it can seem expensive. Part of the value is the ability to rent for only one night and have an additional person. The price fluctuates depending on the season. We have to charge more when the business is there so that we can afford to have it vacant for long, slow periods. Self-check-in any time after 4 pm on your arrival date. You’ll get a lock box code 5-days before you arrive. Check-in is at 4 pm and check-out is at 11 am. We will offer you early check-in and late check-out options, if it's available, a couple of days before your arrival/departure for a fee of $50. The host does not live on the property but is available when needed. Text for the fastest response. Juneau Medical Center Taxis and Ride Share options are available as well as the city bus. The bus stop is Twin Lakes Playground (Stop Code 489). Walk left out of the driveway, then right down the steep road (Wire Street). The bus stop is at the bottom of the hill on your left. You'll see the covered bus stop. Pets are welcome with approval. There is a nightly pet fee for approved pets charged after booking confirmation. Airbnb cannot charge for the pets in advance. This is due to a lack of functionality in our property management system.
