Welcome to this sunny, chic, spacious 4BR, 4BA North Stamford country house with lots of character and a huge backyard. Great for families. The space Just 1 hour from NYC and close to Greenwich beaches and shops, this is a very charming and stylish old house that is perfect for families. The house was was built in 1869 (there is a hitching post out front) and it has a lot of cozy character. It was updated with a sunroom with woodburning stove, large playroom stocked with toys, and a primary bedroom suite and bath. It has 3,880 square feet. There are 4 full bathrooms, 2 with tubs. The house can comfortably fit 8 people and 10 is the maximum number of people we allow. There are 4 bedrooms: 1. Huge primary bedroom suite (on second floor) with queen bed and private bath with large glass door shower and tub. Sleeps 2. 2. "The Star Bedroom" is close to Master Bedroom on 2nd Floor. Has a SINGLE bed with another SINGLE TRUNDLE BED underneath. Sleeps 2. Shared bathroom with "The Corner Bedroom." Best for 1 adult or 2 kids. -- "The Corner Bedroom" has a DOUBLE bed. Sleeps 2. Shared bathroom with "The Star Bedroom." -- "The Spiral Suite" is on the 3rd floor, accessible by a spiral staircase. Private and tucked away. Has its own en suite (private and attached) bathroom and a QUEEN bed. Sleeps 2. In addition to the bedrooms, the Den on the 1st floor has a double-sized pullout couch. So you could sleep 2 more there. We also have two blow up mattresses. Other things to note: There is a large backyard. At the far end of the yard is a POND. The playroom is large, sunny, and stocked with toys that kids are welcome to play with. Our outdoor swingset / playset accommodates small children - best for children 10 and under. Please no adult use. Thanks. There are bicycles and helmets in the garage which you are welcome to use. There is a stand up basketball hoop in the garage. Guest access This is a rental for the whole house and yard. During winter months, the garage (with two automatic doors) can accommodate two cars. Other things to note When you book, we really appreciate hearing a bit about you, what brings you to the area, etc. Thank you!! :) Please do not bring any additional guests to sleep at the house beyond the number you listed when you made your reservation. If you need to change the number of guests coming after you have already booked just let me know and we will work it out. Thank you! The coffeemaker is a regular 12-cup brewer. We provide the filters. We have a lot of baby gear and toys for children. We have a highchair, pack and play, changing table, tricycles, bicycles, sleds, etc. There is a large and sunny playroom stocked with toys that kids are welcome to play with. We also have a swingset / slide in the backyard that accommodates smaller children - best for children 10 and under. There's a "cul de sac" neighborhood across the street from our house that has little traffic and is great for walks or riding bikes. You do not need to bring sheets and towels. All sheets and towels will be washed for your arrival and the beds will be made. The house itself will be professionally cleaned for your arrival, and will be professionally cleaned upon your departure. (This departure cleaning is the cleaning fee that you are charged when you book.) We ask that you kindly leave the house tidy and put dishes in dishwasher and turn on dishwasher when you leave.
