Capo's Cottage vacation rental is a 3/2 home in St. Augustine, Florida. It's 1500 sq ft of classic 1920's Florida beach cottage close to all of the history, beaches, activities, and restaurants which St. Augustine is known. The historic Capo family is one of the founding families of the Vilano area and specifically, Surfside Ave. Surfside Retreat is a classic Old Florida beach cottage with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and the characteristic beach cottage feel from beadboard walls, ceiling fans and charming cottage features. But it also has large adjoining open spaces for entertaining, dining and lounging more consistent with the other modern upgrades of a today’s beach cottage (dishwasher, flat screens, modern fully equipped kitchen and wireless internet). The comfortable and inviting décor sets the tone for the rules of the cottage: Relax, Relax, Relax. The comfortable couches and chairs, full dining room, and open common spaces invite conversation, games, and kicking back following a day at the beach across the street. The outside spaces include a rose arbor with intimate shaded seating, a family-sized grill, and outdoor dining provide the setting for kicking back, whether day or night. The stroll from the beach, followed by a quick cooling outside shower as an option, means that ‘going to the beach’ does not require hours of packing up the gear! We even provide beach towels! It is the perfect getaway for a family beach vacation that is near grocery stores if cooking is your thing and near restaurants if the cook is on holiday, too. Old town St. Augustine is just across the A1A bridge and Vilano Beach Main Street (a short walk) with various dining and a Publix for groceries. Off-street parking for up to four cars or two SUVs is convenient, too, at Surfside Retreat, 101 Surfside. We are a pup friendly rental! Please make sure you contact the host/co-host to arrange your pup's stay. We reserve the right to decide on a case by case basis. If it is agreed upon, we will request a $50 charge through Airbnb. This goes directly to our 3rd party cleaning company. Also of note: make sure you have your number of guests correct. Our cleaning company sets up for the exact number your reservation is for. If you book for 5 and then ask for 6, expect a request for extra charges through Airbnb.
