Inspired by a combination of Mediterranean and Arts and Crafts traditions, it is part of Walter Steilberg's former estate, sitting behind the main house he built for himself and his family in 1922. It is private, preserved and updated even though the house feels like you've stepped into another era. It is on the National Historic Register for its pioneering use of poured concrete. There is a two week minimum stay required. Guest access One covered parking space is provided on the street below and guests access the cottage via the public historic Orchard Steps. Other things to note Like many homes located on Panoramic Hill, accessing the house requires climbing stairways.
