Villa in Wilderswil

Explore the breath-taking surroundings from this peaceful country house. Wilderswil is at the entrance of the valley that leads to the famous Alps: Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau: The Top of Europe. From the apartment you have direct views on these mountains. The new Eiger Express is 25 min by train from Wilderswil Station which also offers a cogwheel train up to the Schynige Platte and a 3 min connection to Interlaken. The area offers many walking paths and hiking tracks, starting from the house. The space The apartment is on the first floor of our 115 year old country house. The apartment is renovated and modernized and has hygienic laminate floors with floor heating. You will have an apartment with 2 bedrooms, living, kitchen and bathroom on the first floor (USA second floor) of our three-story house. Your host lives on the ground floor. The second floor is rented permanently. In some rooms the old wooden wall paneling and doors have been maintained and offers a cosy atmosphere. The same for the antique "Kachelofen" (tiled stove) which is not longer used, but shows the old craftsmanship. The living room has a large leather sofa and comfortable chairs. The apartment sleeps max 6 people. Both bedrooms sleeps standard two. Extra beds can be placed in either the bedrooms or the living. Access to the apartment is via an enclosed outside staircase and has its own separate entrance door. Guests are free to enjoy the large gardens. Free parking is available. Guest access The house has its own free parking place at the end of the garden. We are located a short 10 minute walk from the Wilderswil railway station Wilderswil has a quiet charm but is very well connected to all major tourist destinations. Trains go each half hour to Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald, and Interlaken Ost. There is also a bus stop to Interlaken Centre (3 minutes). We also recommend the hidden gem of Saxeten, reached in 20 min by Postauto from the station. In the winter you can take the train to ski in Wengen or Grindelwald. It is 25 min to the new Eiger Express cable car in Grindelwald, with connection to Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe. Other things to note The apartment is fully equipped with floor heating. There is an electric cooker plate. The wood fired tile stove and other wood stove are for decoration only and cannot be used by guests. The apartment is registered with the municipality of Wilderswil as a holiday apartment. This means that we pay tourist tax for you that we do not charge you. It also means that you will receive a guest card with which you can travel for free on public transport in and around Interlaken and receive a discount on various attractions.
