Highland Park Gem
Highland Park Gem
Description
We have recently renovated our beautiful 1890 home, a perfect location in the South Wedge/Highland Park neighborhood , where you can walk most anywhere - to Highland park, dinner, pubs, coffee, and ice cream. We will be sharing our home with you. We enjoy meeting new guests from different backgrounds and places. You are welcome to join us for a drink, ask for advice on how to spend your stay, or have a quiet evening on your own. The space We LOVE our home. It is bright, sunny and open. We have taken down walls, and opened up the kitchen so it's a very inviting, comfortable place to spend time. We appreciate art, in all forms, so you are encouraged to check out the pieces we've collected over the years. The kitchen has a large island for your morning coffee/breakfast. Coffee, tea and basic breakfast essentials are always available. I love to bake so in all likelihood there will be fresh muffins as well! This is a smoke free home. Sleeping options upstairs include a bedroom with a queen bed, and a sleeping porch with a pullout (full size) sleeper sofa that is very comfortable and a small bedroom with a twin bed. The bathroom upstairs will be for your private use. If you are two people who would like to use either the small bedroom or the sleeping porch as a sleeping place, please choose 3 people for the small $ uplift for a second room for sleeping This space is a perfect option for college visits, business or medical travel (Highland Hospital is just one block away, Strong a five minute drive), or a getaway weekend. Our backyard is surprisingly large and has parking to accommodate your car. No need to be on the street! Guest access You will be joining us in our home and will have access to the first floor, as well as your bedroom, bathroom, and the sleeping porch on the second floor. Our front porch, and back patio are also wonderful spots in which to relax and enjoy. Our walk in pantry has a small fridge where you can refrigerate small items as needed. During your stay We will be sharing our home with you and you are welcome to as much privacy as you would like. Join us for a coffee or a glass of wine on the porch or retreat to the patio for some peaceful time on your own. Other things to note While we can accommodate up to 3 or 4 guests, we will only offer up the space to one group at a time so no worries about sharing the space with other unknown parties.
