Hellenthal Lofts 201 - Downtown Apartment
A renovated apartment in the center of Downtown Juneau. Built in 1916 during Juneau's mining heyday, the historic Hellenthal building has been completely renovated in 2017-2018. This 603 square foot studio features all new appliances, including front loading washer and dryer, built-in microwave, and dishwasher. The galley kitchen features porcelain tile countertops, and the large south-facing windows have a view of Gastineau Channel and the mountains of Douglas Island. Although it is located above retail spaces, this apartment can be accessed from North Franklin Street without having to climb stairs. There is a queen-size bed wall bed that folds out of the way when not in use, and also a full pull-out sofa. Although we do not live in the building, we are usually in the area and available to assist with anything you need to make your stay more comfortable. The Hellenthal Building is located within blocks from Juneau's best restaurants, bars, coffee shops, two microbreweries, distillery, dispensaries, museums, and movie theaters, as well as hiking trails, the waterfront, and the tram. It is also just a few blocks from the Centennial Hall Convention Center and the JACC (Juneau Arts & Culture Center). Walking is the best way to get around downtown. The downtown bus transit center is one block away. Pickup/dropoff points for all tour buses, vans and shuttles are within very short walking distance.
