Jackson This chic tiny home is only minutes to the University of South Carolina campus, Williams-Brice Stadium, South Carolina State House, and Fort Jackson. Situated in an up-and-coming neighborhood, the property is petite but packed with style and modern amenities. The unit is a series of 3 spaces/rooms. You will enter into the full kitchen with electric 20" range, fridge, microwave and vintage cast iron sink (no dishwasher, no laundry). Next is the full bathroom with a 36" vanity and stand-up shower, no tub. The next and final room is the living area/queen bedroom with a loveseat, 43" Roku TV, small dinette set, and a queen size bed. The mini split wall HVAC unit is also located in this room with a remote control that allows you to adjust from heat to cool and your desired temperature. What you’ll enjoy about this Heartwood Home: ☆ Tiny living in a stylish space ☆ Maximum of 2 people ☆ Full Kitchen with 20" electric range ☆ Bathroom with shower ☆ High quality bedding ☆ 43" Roku TV ☆ Walking distance to downtown West Columbia shops and dining ☆ Walking distance to West Columbia Riverwalk & Palmetto Outdoors River Tubing “The tiny house looks amazing! But how far away is it from where I want to go?” - So glad you asked! Driving times: ☆ Downtown / USC – 7 minutes ☆ Riverbanks – 7 minutes ☆ Williams Brice Stadium - 9 minutes ☆ CAE - 13 minutes ☆ Fort Jackson – 18 minutes ☆ Lake Murray – 18 minutes ☆ Congaree National Park – 30 minutes Guest will be able to access the entire tiny home. There is an additional dwelling, which is the main home, that is not a part of this listing. There may be a guest staying in the home during your stay. The backyard (accessed through the exterior door to the bedroom) is NOT a part of the listing. The fenced in tiny-yard outside of the kitchen is reserved exclusively for your use during your stay only. This tiny home is located in West Columbia's New Brookland Historic District - an up-and-coming pocket neighborhood just over the river from downtown Columbia with single-family homes and duplexes dating from the early 1900s. Many of these homes have been owned for generations and some show signs of wear and their age. With older historically lower income neighborhoods like this, you will see visible deferred maintenance and sometimes yards and front porches with a collection of random objects, some may call it hoarding. This neighborhood is completely safe despite some of the decrepit homes and with the new $40 million dollar mixed-use development like Brookland and the ongoing State Street revitalization, this area is only getting better and better! My husband David and I used to live on this street and have always wanted to make our way back. The proximity to downtown Columbia and the hopping Vista area can't be beat. Plus, the house is within a few minutes walk to West Columbia's Riverwalk! 5 minutes walk to Cafe Strudel & our favorite Old Mill Antique Mall & Plant Store 6 minutes walk to West Columbia Riverfront Park & Amphitheater 6 minute walk to brand new Asian fusion restaurant Palate on State Street 6 minute walk to Black Rooster - a new restaurant with a rooftop bar overlooking the river and downtown Columbia 7 minute walk or 2 minute drive to Spa 131 8 minute walk to Terra - one of our favorite restaurants! 9 minute walk to Al's Upstairs Italian Restaurant with great views of the river and downtown Columbia 10 minute walk or 3 minute drive to Bi-Lo Grocery Store 12 minute walk or 3 minute drive to CVS Pharmacy 3 minutes drive to Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts 4 minute drive to Publix Super Market 5 minutes drive to the heart of USC's campus 5 minutes drive to the Koger Center, Columbia's Metropolitan Convention Center and Colonial Life Arena 7 minutes drive to Riverbanks Zoo & Botanical Gardens 8 minutes drive to Williams Brice Stadium / USC Football 20 minutes drive to the Fort Jackson Visitors Center Uber and Lyft are the best options for getting around without your vehicle. Otherwise, there are options for groceries and dining within walking distance to the house. There is a separate rental, which is the main house. This reservation does not include access to the main home. The entries are completely separate as is parking. Parking for 1 vehicle along the street. You will need to park half on the street and half up on the curb of the front yard. This is a historic neighborhood with narrow streets. Small vehicles may not be able to maneuver up onto the high curb.
