Beautiful 1960’s modern style home at the edges of the Long Island Sound and the Connecticut River. It is a 5 Bedroom, 5.5 bathroom house. The kitchen was renovated in late 2016. The house is primarily exposed wood with a brick fireplace in the center of the living room. There are also two separate patios with seating areas including a charcoal grill. The house is full of equipment for yard games such as volleyball, croquet, horseshoes, badminton and bocce ball among others. The property: The property includes several acres of wide open field leading up to the waterfront, as well as woods on the backside by the river. The large backyard is perfect for sports or a barbecue. You will have complete privacy and escape from the noise and bustle of town. All bedrooms and living areas are open for guests. The basement is restricted. We will be present to give a tour of the house and provide basic information. One of the family members will be within a few minutes drive of the house for emergencies. The historic town of Old Lyme, CT is directly off of I-95 and is surrounded by public beaches that are less than 10 minutes from the house. Lots of antique shops, bars and restaurants are nearby to eat and drink (and enjoy some of the best ice cream on the planet). 25 minutes away you can find the Mohegan Sun Casino, the great Mystic Aquarium, and beyond the Historic towns of Mystic and Essex, CT among other attractions. It is also less than an hour drive from the large Rhode Island surf beaches. Car and Taxi's are the easiest way, although the town is bike friendly.
