Guest House at Gilmore Creek Ranch
House is on a working ranch with management on site. Fully equipped kitchen, basic cable, 15-20 minutes from town or the turnpike. Great for hunters, family get-togethers, break from traveling. Animals on site. All bedrooms are upstairs, 1 full bathroom downstairs. A washhouse outside equipped with washer/dryer, shower, toilet, and sink. This is where the 2nd bathroom is located. We have a big sign out front with "Gilmore Creek Ranch" on it. Country experience with beautiful scenery, public hunting, and El Dorado Lake just minutes away for fishing, boating or swimming. Tallgrass Prairie Reserve is about a 45 minute drive north of us. Or you might like to visit the Coutt's Memorial Museum of Art in El Dorado. We have all kinds of animals to see as you wander around the property from cattle, horses, dogs, cats and a few that just come to visit. It is usually very quiet and peaceful so very relaxing. A great place if traveling with children to let them get out and stretch their legs playing in the yard or on the rope swing under a big American Elm tree. Plus we are not too far from the town of El Dorado for shopping or dining out. We try to greet you and show you around and then leave you to enjoy your stay. We are always working on the ranch so easy to reach. Both of our cell phone numbers are listed on the refrigerator so call us with anything you might need or we can help with. Otherwise it's your time and we give you your space. You will need to have a vehicle to get out to the ranch. We are a good hour from ICT airport. And you might want to pick up your groceries on your way at either Dillons or Walmart in El Dorado. You will be driving on a dirt road for either 2 or 6 miles depending on which direction you come in on. GPS is not always correct out in the country so I usually will inquire on what direction you are coming from to give you the best route. This is the country so you will be staying in a 2 story old fashion farm house with all bedrooms up stairs. It's clean and cozy, and most of the time quiet. You will have to travel on a dirt road and when it rains it gets muddy.
