A cozy, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home nestled in the bluffs of Fountain City, WI two blocks off the Great River Road. The house sleeps four comfortably w/ four brand-new extra-long twin beds that can be combined to form two king-sized beds. There is also a queen-sized futon in the larger bedroom that can sleep two. This house has a fully stocked kitchen, fenced-in backyard w/ fire pit, off-street parking for 1 vehicle and view of the Mississippi River from the kitchen window! Historic house, new stuff! The original structure was built in 1880, with more modern additions to make it the cozy place it is today. Comfortable, casual, and close to wineries, breweries and local restaurants. Newly renovated kitchen, dining room, living room and bathrooms. Since the house is nearly 150 years old, the stairs to the second floor are a bit steeper than typical stairs today. Guests have access to the full house and yard, but not the basement or garage. We will be available by email or phone. Quiet, walkable neighborhood in small town of 800 residents. Walk to The Monarch House, The Golden Frog, Wing Dam Saloon , Ole Joe's and Seven Hawks winery. Park the car and enjoy. There are 2 bar/restaurants, 1 bar/restaurant/brewery, 1 traditional bar and a Winery within 3 blocks of where you'll be staying. Park that car and take a walk around town! We love to cook so we've got all the things you need in this kitchen. While the back yard is fenced in, it is not escape-proof for Houdini dogs. You'll need to keep an eye on them.
