Welcome to our charming home on Garland Street, just 10 minutes from downtown and a neighborhood with a lot of energy. With restaurants, pubs, breweries a five minute walk away, and a large yard on a corner lot, our home is perfect for families and pets. Welcome to Hummingbird Hideout. The Hummingbird Hideout is set up as a top and bottom duplex. Secured doors can be opened in between the units to utilize it as a whole house, which is what this listing is for. Think of it as similar to when you book adjoining rooms in a hotel. Each level has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, and a kitchen/living space. The top level is Boho themed with light colors and family table games. The bottom level is more of an industrial modern design. Both areas have their own fenced in yard and private entrances. Parking is available both on street and behind the home. Guests can access all spaces in the home. We are always available to respond to guests requests for information. There are scannable QR codes in the unit that offers information about the house and neighborhood. The Garland District is a laid-back, artsy neighborhood centered on Garland Avenue, an old-school street with vibrant murals and galleries, trendy bars, and 1950s diners, including one shaped like a milk bottle. Indie stores sell vinyl, guitars, and used books, and the 1945 Garland Theater screens classic movies and new releases. The nonprofit Blue Door Theatre stages weekend improv shows and jam sessions Parking at our area is ample and the neighborhood is very walkable. There are also lime scooters available throughout the city. We ask that our guests just "be cool" in regards to rules of the home. Our neighbor is a very reasonable person, so we ask that everyone be reasonable to them. No loud music after 10pm, keeping an eye on pets, etc. The neighborhood does have a lot of families and kids, so we want everyone to enjoy their vacations while living harmoniously amongst our great neighbors.
