Stay at our beautiful guest house situated on our 20 acres inside 440 acres of untouched forest. Relax/recharge at this tranquil getaway just minutes from Silver Dollar City and Branson, but a world away from all that hubbub. You’ll feel safe with our security gate that opens to the 1/2 mile paved driveway through the forest down to our contemporary guesthouse. The inside has high end touches along with a private patio for chilling and grilling. Quiet, safe and relaxing! You’ll be so close to Silver Dollar City (SDC) that from your private patio you’ll hear the train whistle and partially see the fireworks when they have them. Your drive to SDC is only 10 minutes and you’ll avoid all the traffic coming from Branson. Getting to the Butterfly Palace at the start of the Branson strip is just 15 minutes from our place with Branson Landing is approx a 25 minute highway drive. It’s the best of both worlds - close to the non-stop action of Branson and yet nothing but trees and quiet when you’re ready for that needed break! This is our only guest space on a beautiful gated estate separate from our main residence. A half mile paved drive through the forest brings you to our contemporary 2 bedroom, 1 bath guest house. It has a fully equipped kitchen, large stacking washer/dryer, large TV with remote speakers in the ceiling for perfect sound right where you want it. You’ll also have a private patio looking out into the woods with room for everyone to sit and make a meal on the grill (bring your own charcoal). There is a large fire pit near the main residence with firewood that you are welcome to use. Please let us know in advance as we want to be sure it is legal/safe for fires in our area. Marshmallow roasting sticks are in the kitchen just waiting for you to make s’mores. Honestly, we built it like we would be living in it, and someday we might! All high end touches - granite, kitchen cabinets with lighting and crown molding, top stainless appliances, heated bathroom floors, etc. With 10 foot ceilings and lots of large windows it feels airy, light and open. During construction we focused on energy efficiency which has the added benefit of making it very, very quiet. TV speakers are mounted in the living room ceiling away from the bedrooms. With the room darkening curtains, sound insulation, solid doors and the quiet of being in the forest - you might want to set an alarm to wake up! Right where you park is a new level 2 EV charger (32amp J1772) that’s free for guests to use. Hosts own an EV so we get how important this can be! As a reminder, you are likely to see a variety of wildlife, including but not limited to turkey, deer, raccoons, foxes, groundhogs, chipmunks, squirrels, a variety of birds and owls, and unfortunately an occasional snake or spider. Booking price is for 4 quests with availability to add 2 more for a small fee to help cover supplies and additional cleaning fees. Please let us know the correct number of ppl in your party so we are sure to provide enough bedding and supplies. Safety: it’s hard to imagine a safer place to stay. It starts with a heavy duty metal security gate at the start of the driveway which is 1/2 mile from your guest house. The only way past the gate is with a security code that the hosts strictly manage. You’re the only guests on the property so no worries about random strangers being around. We also have a driveway sensor that alerts the hosts when any vehicles come down the driveway. Lastly the hosts are both retired and are home 99% of the time. We feel very safe here and you can too. You have access to our large fire pit area (with firewood) by the main house that may be shared with the hosts. Let us know if you want to use the fire pit so we can be sure it’s safe to have a fire. The guest house is near the main house but far enough to allow you privacy. There are no other guest houses/cabins on the property. You have super easy access to parking right in front of the cabin along with a dedicated EV charger if you need it. We are usually at the main house and always just a call or text away. Secluded with no neighbors. Just lots of peace and quiet and beautiful land to explore. This is not a resort with a bunch of other buildings and people. As a reminder, you are likely to see a variety of wildlife, including but not limited to deer, raccoons, foxes, groundhogs, chipmunks, squirrels, a variety of birds and owls, and unfortunately an occasional snake or spider – some harmless and some venomous. A car will be necessary for getting around. If you have a boat or trailer, we have plenty of space to park. Behind the RV building there’s a 110 volt hookup and floodlights you can turn on if needed. And don’t forget, it’s gated and 1/2 mile from the main road with a paved driveway. Very secure location and avid fisherman love not needing to unload/secure their gear at night. We don’t accept pets. Service dogs must remain with the guest the entire time. Cannot be left alone on the property for any amount of time. For number of guests after 4 and up to 6, there will be a small additional fee to offset higher cleaning costs (not including infants). Please be sure your number of guests is correct so we provide enough linens, etc. for everyone. Note: we do our own cleaning of the guest house. We’re much more picky than most cleaners plus it gives us the ability to uncover and fix small problems before they become bigger problems. Our guests have consistently commented on the cleanliness and we find that rewarding.
