It is the historic homestead of the King family. The original home built in 1897. Back in the day, it was a dairy farm producing milk, cream & butter. The guest cottage has pastoral views overlooking a wetland that is home to many migrating birds. It has one queen bed, a full bath, kitchen (no stove or oven, but you're welcome to use the kitchen in main house. The kitchen is small but well apportioned with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and coffee/tea, toaster, electric skillet, blender, etc. A BBQ patio area is also attached. Hair dryer, satellite TV, and internet are included, while cell phone reception can be spotty (T-Mobile works great). We welcome your dog! You may use the attached kennel while you explore all that the Islands have to offer, such as whale watching, bike riding, the farmer's market, or just a quiet meal in town. You are welcome to explore the farm. If you have a dog there is plenty of space to walk and play. I have a large fenced yard which your dog will be welcome to hang out with my three cockers if they get along. It is also a nice neighborhood for a walk or run with no traffic. The best part of living here is the proximity to town and all the island attractions. Nothing is more than a fifteen minute drive. After a full day you have a quiet, country setting to come home to. If you come without a car, a few options are the shuttle. Which gives unlimited rides to all the places of interest for $15. for an all day pass. The taxi cost approx. $12. to the Farm. Mopeds can be rented in town to tour on. Also the bike shop has good quality bikes to rent.
