Imagine walking a few minutes to the heart of downtown, yet still nestled amongst old-growth pine in a serene setting. Minutes walk away from a variety of restaurants, local festivals, parks, hiking, and biking trailheads, Fives Pines Resort, Creekside campground. Minutes drive to Hoodoo Mountain, Black Butte Resorts, Aspen golf course. While relaxing in the evenings, enjoy the sound of Whychus Creek flowing in the distance. Extensive free off-road parking and RV parking, high-speed internet. A unique gem. It is tailored to those quests looking for a tranquil getaway in a spacious cottage, a minute's walk from downtown Sisters. Perfect for gathering larger parties or a few guests who want to pamper themselves. Enjoy the comfortable beds, and take a luxurious soak in one of the claw foot tubs. Enjoy a walk-in shower, private dry sauna, fully stocked kitchen, cozy living room sectional, covered lite gazebo, and multiple decks in a serene setting. Once parked, beyond the white picket fence, there are stepping stones leading to the front door of the cottage. Four steps to access the front door and the front uncovered patio area to enjoy. Please be cautious with weather variations, at times, the stepping stones and steps can be slippy. What to expect: -please communicate with me on the Airbnb reservation platform. If you need to, reach out and I'll get back to you ASAP. 1. Access the cottage with the Black Master Lockbox to the right of the front door. Please note the lockbox code is frequently changed for all guests' safety. This will be updated on the Airbnb site. Also, eufy cameras are located at the front and back doors, as well as, above the door of the garage. These are for guests' safety as well. 2. Once inside on the main level, there'll be 2 additional keys on the table to the left of the coat rack. Please return the key to the lockbox and use the spare keys for your convenience while visiting the cottage. The Key marked "J" is for the front and back doors. The other Key is marked, "JB" for the basement door only. Please remove your outdoor footwear to preserve the beauty of the pine floors. Grip socks will be provided in the middle closet or feel free to bring your cozy slippers for comfort and ease of mobility. 3. A quick welcome guide is found on the ottoman in the living room. The notebook will have a variety of information ie. wifi passwords, sauna guidelines, a variety of restaurant suggestions, guest rules, and arrival and departure information. Please only use the supplies, linen, and towel necessary to make your stay comfortable. Thank you. -Some of the restaurants book up fast, so make reservations in advance. Also, we are a smaller community, and restaurants close very early. Be ready to eat no later than 7:30-8 pm because options become quite limited. I know, early! -Friendly reminder. While outside, Please always be RESPECTFUL OF QUIET HOURS FROM 10 PM-7 AM. Sound carries easily with Whychus Creek so close. -There are more detailed departure instructions found near the bottom of this DESCRIPTION SECTION at #26 -Reminder to leave the TV remote near the notebook on the living room ottoman. 4. -WiFi- DebbiesCottage 5. PASSWORD- Please refer to the Airbnb house manual with the confirmation of your reservation. Also, found in the notebook. Also, in the kitchen written on the welcome sign. 6. Quick instruction guide, found on the Airbnb site and also on a laminated sheet found on the living room ottoman in the notebook. 7. Master Lockbox Code. In-house manual and found in the description of the property under MY SPACE on the Airbnb site. Also, found in the notebook in the living room. 8. The cottage has central heat and AC for the entire home. The THERMOSTAT is considered a smart system, the Nest. -May feel cool when entering the cottage because it automatically turns to the ECO mode when no one is sensed in the home, therefore conserving energy. -Simply walking by the thermostat in the hall will wake it up. The setting is set on Heat and Cool mode during the summer months. - Move the dial to the left and gently push on it, then the temp can be adjusted by turning the dial clockwise or counterclockwise. -To increase the heat, toggle to the right, gently push and move the dial to the left to decrease the temperature. Simply toggle between the settings you'd like to adjust. -During the cooler months, the nest will be in Heat Mode. Simply turn to the right to set to warmer and to the left for cooler. When leaving, the system will automatically return to ECO mode to conserve energy. -Summer months upstairs can get a little warmer than the lower levels. Close the blinds during the hot summers or please use the fans provided to help circulate the air. Also, it’s a nice option to open the windows in the evenings to allow the cool air in. There are screens on the windows. 9. On the right side of the fireplace is the on/ off switch. Please help to conserve energy, remember to turn it off when going to bed, leaving the living room, or leaving for the day. 10. The TV remote is on the ottoman in the living room. Return the remote to the ottoman when departing. -The red button is the ON. On the right side of the remote is the volume button. Enjoy RUKU's with many free TV stations, Spotify, Pandora, YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and HBO Max. Endless movies and entertainment for everyone to enjoy. -PLEASE DO NOT LOG OUT of the accounts so other quests can continue enjoying all the entertainment options offered. Thank you. 11. On the main level you'll find, 2 spacious bedrooms with queen-sized beds, plenty of closets, and dresser space for your belongings. Mirrors are in each room for your convenience. One is a long-length mirror. The other mirror is a smaller wall mirror. You'll quickly notice the lovely plantation wooden blinds throughout the cottage. They are quite fragile and can break easily, please close them carefully. -Also, a vinyl blind is found on the main level of the bedroom french door. Please leave it down and just open and close it by the handle. 12. The main level full bathroom has a clawfoot tub and a modern shower head with elegant marble tile throughout. Please ensure the shower curtain remains inside the claw foot tub when showering and turn the fan on. -Please use the bath mat provided and the safety bar on the left side of the tub. Turn on the fan when showing and or bathing. Only use the towels that are needed for your stay to be comfortable. 13. CLOSET UNDER THE STAIRCASE: Vacumn cleaners, brooms, and wood floor cleaners. Please do not use water on the hardwood floors, only bona. 14. HALL CLOSET: Many things are available for your use. Some cleaning supplies, towels, grip socks, extra toilet paper, paper towel, blow dryer, facial, sunscreen, some bug spray, masks, a FIRE EXTINGUISHER, a FIRST AID KIT, and cleaning supplies. Just take a look and you may very well find it in there. 15. A spacious living room with a large cozy sectional for multiple guests to enjoy and gather. The section also has a sleeper bed and a cozy gas fireplace. Ruko TV with a lot of free entertainment, surround sound, multiple games, cards, magazines, and local papers. -The living room opens up to a well-equipped kitchen, and a lovely dining area with a breakfast nook, gorgeous chandelier, and french doors to access the back deck, covered gazebo, BBQ, outside propane heater, private dry sauna, and the tranquil backyard setting. -The kitchen has a variety of essentials to make a wonderful meal. Also, provided is organic coffee, a coffee grinder, a coffee maker, Keurig, a kettle, and teapots. A variety of teas, coffee beans (caffeinated and Decafe), coffee pods, -Various condiments, some local favorite grilling spices, and cooking books. For those who don’t want to deal with dishes- Some paper plates, plastic cups, and utensils are found in the cupboard near the breakfast nook. -Unfortunately, I couldn't accommodate the garbage disposal under the sink. There is a strainer provided in the porcelain sink. Please remove food debris from plates when using the dishwasher. Also, a filter is found in the dishwasher that can be emptied to help the dishwasher work more efficiently. 16. The dining room has enough chairs to seat 8 guests. 6 chairs for the dining room table and 2 breakfast-nook chairs. If needed there is a leaf. Please be cautious when placing. It is an oak table and the leaf and table are heavy! There are also breakfast tray options to use. Found in the living room. The Chandelier switch is found to the left of the breakfast nook. You’ll also see a fire extinguisher mounted on the dining room wall. -You'll notice a few live plants sporadically placed around the cottage. Please do not water them. Just enjoy the fresh air and ambiance they provide. Thank you. 17. SMART VOICE found in the dining room near the plants. Just say, "HEY go...gle", and the base will light up and ask anything ie. "What temp is it in Sisters? The go...gle voice will respond. Ask, Hey go...gle, play music- It will play your favorite tune. 18. Upstairs, there's a 3rd lovely primary bedroom with a comfortable queen-sized bed. This is a private space away from the rest of the rooms. There's a private seating area, office space, and a private primary bathroom. 19. In the primary bathroom, travertine tile is found throughout with 2nd exquisite clawfoot tub and a large walk-in shower. Modernized touch throughout. There is a small step to the tub, the toilet, and the walk-in shower. -Be cautious with the wet tile! Can be slippery when wet. Feel free to use the bath mats provided. If you find that the water is splashing outside the shower, gently move the shower head to the right side of the shower. Found in the Primary bathroom: -Blow dryer, curling iron -magnifying mirror with LED light -towels, robes (if not available they're being laundered) -shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand sanitizer -Cleaning supplies if needed -electric heater -FIRST-AID KIT -FIRE EXTINGUISHER -A lovely bamboo plant 20. Office Space. You'll have privacy away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the house. Brisk internet connection for remote work or streaming, a charging station, a desk light, a desk, some writing supplies, and plenty of books to entertain yourself for hours. Skylight for natural lighting during the day. 21. On the main level of the kitchen, there's a door separating the kitchen from the lower level of the cottage. There is central heat and AC in this area as well. The steps are fairly steep and carpeted. Found downstairs are the 4th and 5th beds. One of the beds is a queen bed and the other is a twin bed. Both are very comfortable. Please watch your children and please be careful using the step! -The utility room is located in this area as well. An electric washer and dryer. Please remove the lint and keep this area tidy for all guests to enjoy. If you happen to see linen and towels in the dryer on your arrival simply place them in the extra laundry basket and the cleaners will take care of them after your departure. Also, you'll find a clothing rack, another laundry bin, detergent, fabric softener, an iron, an ironing board, and a FIRE EXTINGUISHER. Additional towels for the sauna, and cleaning rags and buckets. 22. The lower level has the 4th comfortable queen-sized bed and the 5th Tempurpedic twin-sized bed. This is a shared space and the beds are separated by a partial wall. Both areas have a dresser and plenty of space. This lower area can be used alone or as a shared space. A door at the top of the stairs provides a lot of privacy from the rest of the quests. *NOTE, THE BASEMENT AND THE ENTIRE HOME HAVE CENTRAL HEAT AND AC. FULLY CARPETED, EXCEPT IN THE UTILITY ROOM. BECAUSE THIS IS ON THE LOWEST LEVEL OF THE COTTAGE, SOUND CAN TRAVEL FROM THE ACTIVITY OF OTHER GUESTS ABOVE. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING* 23. On the lower level- 2 additional comfortable living room chairs and a space to get away from the activity of the other guests. PROVIDED: Some resistance bands, light free weights, sanitizing wipes, clock radio with alarm, CD player, a selection of CD music, additional FIRE- EXTINGUISHER, and easy asses to the utility room where the washer and dryer are located. 25. OUTSIDE: Please know your voices can carry with the Whychus Creek and during the late evening hours. Quiet hours are from 10 pm- 7 am. Thank you for being considerate of my neighbors and our community. -There is an uncovered deck at the front and back of the cottage with a large fenced yard. The back deck has an umbrella, picnic tables, and a bench to enjoy. There are three steps to the covered gazebo. For your comfort, the lovely-covered gazebo has patio furniture, a Webber propane BBQ propane heater, and lights that have a timer to simply turn on and off. Or place it on auto #2 or #4. -I'm excited to share the newest addition to the cottage, an outdoor dry SAUNA. So nice to enjoy after a long day playing or simply in the mornings! Please refer to the sauna guidelines, found in the notebook, also a laminated copy will be in the sauna and finally on the outside propane heater. Please do not remove the instructions. Please keep the sauna clean and close up with the tarp and ties when departing from the cottage. NOTE: Do not leave any garbage outside that isn't contained. And Please DO NOT feed the deer. We have an abundance of wildlife that roam the property. Have seen a raccoon a couple of times, an abundance of whitetail deer, wild turkeys, bucks, and a large variety of native birds. The raccoons are clever and will go through coolers if not sealed tightly. 26. WHEN DEPARTING THE COTTAGE CHECK-OUT IS A 11 AM 26 A- If you would like a later checkout, please make arrangements at a minimum of 24 hours in advance with me. My cleaning staff are on a very tight schedule. If I can, I will make every effort to accommodate you. 26 B- Please only remove all linen and towels that were used and place them in the lower-level utility room or place them on the floor. Again, please only use what is necessary to make your stay comfortable. This allows the housekeeper to know which linen and towels have been used. 26 C- If the sauna was used. Collect all belongings and keep the sauna clean for our next quests. Please wash the towels on the hottest setting on speed wash. If you are able, please place them in the dryer before leaving. They take the longest to dry to prepare for our next guest arriving on the same day! We appreciate you so much! 26 D- IF THE SAUNA WASN'T USED, PLEASE PLACE USED TOWELS FIRST IN THE WASHER. THEY TAKE THE LONGEST TO DRY. ALL THE LAUNDRY SUPPLIES IS FOUND IN THE BASEMENT. THIS IS APPRECIATED AND HELPFUL FOR THE CLEANERS TO PREPARE FOR FUTURE GUESTS ARRIVING ON THE SAME DAY. 26 E- START A LOAD OF DISHES IN THE DISHWASHER- The express wash is very efficient. DETERGENT PODS FOUND UNDER THE KITCHEN SINK. Remove food debris first before placing it in the dishwasher. No disposal in the dishwasher. 26 F- CLOSE THE LIVING ROOM WOODEN BLINDS 26 G- MAKE SURE THE GAS FIREPLACE IS OFF AND ANY PROPANE TANKS ARE OFF 26 H- RETURN THE BBQ COVER WHEN COOLED. 26 I- IF YOU USED THE UMBRELLA, GENTLY FOLD DOWN ABOVE THE PATIO TABLE AND MAKE SURE IT IS WRAPPED TO STAND. RETURN THE COVER TO THE UMBRELLA. AT TIMES, WE CAN GET SOME PRETTY GOOD WINDS THROUGH THE BACKYARD. 26 J- CLOSE ALL WINDOWS AND LOCK ALL DOORS. DON'T FORGET THE SKYLIGHTS UPSTAIRS. 26 K- RETURN THE REMOTE TO THE LIVING ROOM OTTOM NEAR THE NOTEBOOK 26 L- RETURN THE SPARE KEYS TO THE SMALL TABLE NEAR THE COAT RACK 26 M- RETURN THE KEY TO THE BLACK MASTER LOCKBOX- if needed- Clear the box using the middle lower tab labeled “c”. Then ENTER THE CODE AGAIN, PUSH DOWN ON THE UPPER TAB THEN PLACE THE KEY INSIDE THE BOX. CLOSE ENTER THE CODE AGAIN AND PLACE IT ON THE HANGER IN THE LOCKBOX. 26 N- Close the sauna door, remove used towels, secure the sauna with the tarp and the tries. 26 O- CLOSE THE GATE when leaving 26 P- IF YOU HAPPEN TO BE STAYING ON A TUESDAY NIGHT, GARBAGE DAY IS EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING- PLEASE BE SO KIND AS TO LEAVE GARBAGE CANS OUTSIDE NEAR THE FRONT OF THE COTTAGE OFF JEFFERSON AVE. 26 Q- Finally, please take the time to leave a review. Debbie's historical cottage is nestled in a quiet neighborhood, within walking distance to downtown, Hoodoo Mountain Resort, Five Pines Resort, Aspen golf course, Black Butte resort, Village Green City Park, Creekside City Park, Sisters Creekside Campground, Three Creek Brewing Company, Sisters community trails, Whychus Creek, Sister's movie house, Sisters Athletic Club, Sisters Community trails, Peterson, Metolius River, Smith Rock rock climbing. Everything is within a short walk or minute's drive of the cottage. Can commute by foot, personal bike, or vehicle. Whatever you prefer. A lot of options are a short distance from the cottage. A FEW HIGHLIGHTED, MUST-SEE SIGHTS. IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER. 1. Wright Observatory-Mckensie Highway- Refer online for hours of operation and road closures. 2. Creek Lake- Take Elm Street for about 45 minutes to 1 hour 3. Tumalo Falls- This is in the Bend area 4. Wizard Falls Fish Hatchery- Camp Sherman and Metolius River 5. Suttle Lake must see. Can be a little windy, but has trails and paddle boarding. Beautiful lodge, occasionally live music. 6. Head of the Metolius- Camp Sherman- fly fishing, restaurant, shops, trails for mountain biking, gravel riding, walking, and running.just gorgeous setting 7. Camp Polk Preserve 8. Creekside Park is adjacent to Whychus Creek across the covered footbridge from Sisters Creekside Campground. The Creek is also 1/2 block from the back of the cottage. Can assess and just sit and enjoy! MInutes walk from the cottage. Multiple paved trails sound this area 9. Drive McKenzie Hwy- road bikers loop 10. Three Sisters 10,358 ft- Faith, Hope, and Charity- Go to the winery too! Just near Terrebonne and Smith Rock- Gorgeous views and live music some days of the week. 11. Sightseeing, Black Butte- Sleep hike to the top. Quite the elevation gain quickly, but well worth the views on a clear day! Elevation 6,436 ft 12. Broken Top 9,175 ft 13. Mt. Washington 7,794 ft 14. Three Fingered Jack, 7,841 ft 15. Mt. Jefferson, 10,497 ft 16. Horseback riding 17. Sisters Movie House- very close to the cottage- Can walk of ride your bike- Five Pines Resort, spa, movie theater, brewery, athletic club 18. Village Greens Park- Is blocks from the cottage. Covered gazebo, multiple picnic tables, restrooms, and playground area for children. We also have multiple huge festivals throughout the year, This is where one the large Folk festival and Jazz venue are set up, Sisters Quilt festival, multiple markets with Crafts and art displayed. Please refer online to get a list of the endless events throughout the year. 19. Sisters skate park 20. Farm Stand - local plants, hanging baskets. So cute and supports the local economy 21. Sisters Farmers Market- Must enjoy in our summer month. Locals and surrounding areas bring organic produce, crafts, and tastings for everyone to enjoy! Love our market! Restaurants food places to enjoy- Get out early to eat- Like 7 pm or there'll be few options, especially after 9 pm. Again, no particular order. All listed are 4 plus stars on Trip Advisor. Hope this can give you some guidance to enjoy some restaurant and or beverage options in Sisters. 1. The Open Door- Love this quaint restaurant. Enjoy outside dining under the lights, art is on display for you to enjoy! Usually need reservations weeks in advance- American, contemporary, wine bar. 2. Chops Bistro restaurant and lounge- need a reservation for the restaurant. often have live music on Friday and the weekend. Go early in the lounge to get a seat! Reservations are made by calling the owner. She will get back to you ASAP. 3. Sister Saloon & Ranch. Bronco Billy's Ranch Grill and Saloon. Built-in 1912- Hearty eating! Opened past 9 p.m. A lot of the restaurants close early, so get out and enjoy before 7 p.m. 4. Leithanuser General Store( Sisters Bakery). Built-in 1925 5. Three Creek Brewery- American BrewPub and bar 6. The Cottonwood Cafe- Breakfast- American cafe, vegetarian-friendly 7. Rancho Viejo-Mexican Southwest- Just awesome Mexican cuisine. Local Favorite- My opinion 5/5 stars! 8. Martolli's of Sisters- Authentic hand-tossed pizza 9. Takoda's Restaurant-Family owned- Local Favorite Bar, pizza, pub 10. The Barn, a Modern gorgeous building with outdoor and indoor seating options. Beers and Kombucha are available. Excellent burgers served inside! Very popular with the locals. A nice addition to Sister's food scene. Multiple food trucks are found here- Excellent wood Chulitas, Coco Loco taco bar, night dining inside, often have live music in the courtyard with outdoor fire and sunshades in the summer months. 11. Food Trucks- EuroSports- Sisters Thai- a food truck is a delicious option. Fire pit to enjoy 11. Sno Cone- ice cream anyone! Awesome burgers too. Deserts anyone? . 12. Ski Inn Tap House and Hotel- a beautiful building on the main street. Bar pub food, beers on tap. 13. Gallery Restaurant and bar 14. Sisters Depot 15. Martolli's authentic hand-tossed pizza. 16. Spoons 17. June's Asian kitchen 18. Cibell's Pizza- blocks for the cottage 19. Hardtails Bar and Grill- Locals favorite pub- pool hall, locals favorite after hours. 20. Philadelphia's Steaks and Hoagies- Newer building- new location. Nice outdoor seating. 21. High Camp Taphouse 22. McDonalds- About the only place to eat after 9:30 pm. opened till 11 pm. I know, disappointing. 23. Angeline's Bakery and Cafe- Local favorite open for Breakfast. Love the outdoor seating and they often have live music to enjoy too. 24. Rootbound- Vegetarian opinions- excellent! 25. Cottonwood Cafe- Local favorite- Open for breakfast. 26. Sisters Coffee Company- a local favorite for coffee, pastries, and breakfast food! AWESOME Hoodoo Burrito! Highly recommended by me! Stop serving after 3 pm. 2. Sisters Meat and Smokehouse- Local Favorite! This is a local favorite and the owners have been so kind to help supply my pantry with some delicious spice favors for grilling. For the meat lovers, the farm-raised meat section is a must-try.
