There are multiple natural preserve trails with ponds, one of which is very nearby (5min walk from the house, there is the famous 2 holes pond trail!). Nicely furnished and fully equipped, ideal for couples or families looking for a casual chic and quiet gateway from the busy city life. Recommended for 6 people. The house is airy, bright and sunny, with high ceilings and large patio doors opening from the living / dining room out to the deck, pool and back yard. Through the front door you will find an open plan, new fully equipped kitchen (white quartz countertop), a breakfast bar with direct access to the dining area which can seat up to 8 people, and a spacious living room with a wood-burning fireplace. The living room also boasts skylights and soaring ceilings. You will also find a separate TV room with a comfy sofa bed to accommodate 2 additional guests during your stay. On the same floor there is the master bedroom with a king size bed and 1 brand new bathroom with walk-in shower. On the 2nd floor, the open mezzanine has an office area with a desk (with a monitor for work from home), Peloton bike, two bedrooms and a completely new bathroom with bathtub. One of the 2 bedrooms has a queen bed and the other one has two twin beds, each with pull out beds. (sleep 4, ideal for kids). All rooms have large windows allowing a lot of light and ceiling fans. All bedroms have blinds. The house features Central A/C which can be controlled remotely by Nest. There are 2 TVs (1 giant one in the family room and 1 in the master bedroom), Marshall speaker with Bluetooth, Optimum WIFI (400mbps), HBO, Disney + and Netflix. New washer and dryer are in the finished basement. In the basement you will find also a ping pong table. Surrounded by a landscaped yard, the deck is equiped with dining and lounging furniture and a large propane Weber BBQ. It overlooks the heated salt water pool (Chlorine free). Pool open from Memorial Day to end of September. The space is very enjoyable and convenient for relaxing or having dinner with friends and family. Relax on the hammock, and enjoy your summer! The house is located in Northwest Woods, at a 7 minutes drive to Sag Harbor or East Hampton and 30mn to Montauk: perfect location! Also, the home is really close to Northwest Harbor (5mn drive) where you can launch boats, paddle board, kayak, swim in the quiet bay or enjoy the serenity of the meandering dunes and pristine coastline. There are multiple natural preserve trails with ponds, one of which is very nearby. Bikes available with the rental. During your stay, you can also enjoy the nearby wineries, beaches (bay & ocean), shopping, hiking, mountain biking, wood trails, great restaurants, Museums (Children Museum, Parish Museum…), Montauk surfer’s paradise. The Hamptons offer endless options! Getting around The house is equal-distant from both East Hampton Village and Sag Harbor. About a 7 min drive. We highly recommend having a car to get around although there are local taxi, Uber and Lyft to call on should you need. The closest train station to the house is the LIRR (Long Island Railroad) stop in East Hampton. The Hampton Jitney and Luxury Liner are also non-stop luxury buses that have stops in East Hampton town. Summer 2024: 7 nights minimum (Saturday to Saturday) but open to accomodate shorter stays depending on availability and dates.
