Less than a ten minute drive to Gomez Peak and many other fantastic hiking and biking trails. Stocked with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. The Gila House is still a work in progress and will see many new additions and updates in the months to come! This is the perfect place to stay if you are starting or finishing your trip to the Gila National Forest. This 2 bedroom, 2 bath home boasts a large bathroom off the master bedroom with a laundry center. The open kitchen and living area combined are light and airy, opening out onto an enclosed deck. The kitchen is a full one with pots & pans, dishes and cooking pans. The dining area is next to the kitchen and seats 4. The living area has a couch and Roku TV. Next to the living area is an office for working at home. The small bedroom has bunk beds and a spacious closet. The master bedroom opens out onto a private porch sheltered behind a stucco privacy wall - perfect place to sit and enjoy the beautiful New Mexico sky. We offer great off street parking. You can choose to pull in and park directly in from of the front door. Drive just past and park behind next to the patio. Soon to come - a small fitness center, outdoor seating and a fire pit.... While you stay at the Gila House you will have access to the whole house - it is your home away from home. There is only one closet (in the office) which is used to store cleaning and some personal stuff. We will be just a text or phone call away if you need anything. We live just a 3 minute drive away. Located in a quiet neighbor hood, near to an elementary school and church. The street you drive on to get to Gila House takes you into the Gila National Forest. Gila House has plenty of off street parking. Traffic is not heavy on the street in front except perhaps for a short while after 5:00pm. Currently - as mentioned about, this is a work in progress. The inside is ready to offer you a comfortable stay with everything you need. However, the outside was neglected before we purchased this home, and it needs a lot of TLC to get it looking as it should. Thank you for bearing with us.
