Barton Cottage is exclusively for the solo traveler! Tucked into an ideal and quiet historic neighborhood street, Barton Cottage is the back part of our home with a separate entrance. This private, self-contained suite for one includes a foyer, office and kitchenette all in a large room. There is a cozy living room and a bedroom (full/double bed) with a small ensuite bathroom. Barton Cottage also has a private patio for guests. Come enjoy Kentucky in Frankfort at Barton Cottage! Barton Cottage is a suite in our home completely locked off and private for guests. There is a separate entrance and patio area. Guests enter a main foyer room with an office area and kitchenette. Kitchenette includes a mini-fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster and coffee maker with free coffee. We also provide complimentary plastic cups and silverware, paper plates, bowls and coffee cups for our guests. There is a living room with a sofa and smart tv (basic cable package), and then a nice sized bedroom and a bathroom with soap, shampoo and conditioner. Barton Cottage consists of four rooms total, with 475 square feet of enjoyable space for guests. Guests will have total private access to Barton Cottage and the back patio area, but not to our part of the home or front porch. There is one HVAC system for the entire house with the thermostat on our side. Guests can message us through the Airbnb app to ask for a modification in the temperature if desired. We also installed an 8,000 btu a/c window unit in Barton Cottage to supplement the main HVAC system for guests who like it very cold inside during the warm/hot months. Guests have total control of the a/c window unit. We will be available at the property, but you can message us through the Airbnb app at any time for the quickest response. Guests are completely independent of us. Barton Cottage is located in the historic South Frankfort neighborhood, which is right over The Singing Bridge walking distance to downtown Frankfort. The neighborhood is home to the State Capitol Building (also within walking distance), and very convenient and quiet. There is one parking space available for guests in front of our house on the street. If this space is not available (described in check-in instructions), guests will need to park on an adjacent street and not in front of any of our direct neighbor's homes. Our neighbors need these spaces to unload their families, groceries, etc. It’s important to us to be good hosts, but equally important to be good neighbors. There is always plenty of parking close by in the neighborhood, and particularly on the adjacent street.
