Home information: Home owners are on the other side of house ( your space is very private). 1/2 the house is your space. Imagine a ranch house cut down the middle and 1/2 is the Airbnb and the other 1/2 is the owners side. Private entrance with keyless lock , 2 bedrooms with Queen beds, private bathroom and a living room. Other features include: Wifi , TV’s , a small refrigerator/freezer , microwave, coffee maker and an outdoor Hottub .Private 1 acre lot w/ parking ( 2 cars max). Your space is very private and you have your own entrance . This is a NO Smoking home( this includes the grounds).... We value your privacy and know you will have a relaxing stay . Your side of the house is private and includes 1/2 the house ). The bedrooms both have queen beds and when traveling with more then 2 people( person 3 and 4 there is an additional charge at booking ). Please accurately state the number of guests that are visiting . This space does not have a kitchen however has a dedicated grill outside . Inside you have a refrigerator/freezer , microwave , coffee maker . There are plates, bowls and utensils . Guests will access house by private front door . Your entrance will have an electronic lock which home owners will give you the code upon arrival. We will meet you at check-In and answer any questions you may have . It would be awesome if you could give an approximate time of arrival…. Doesn’t have to be exact just a ballpark so we can be home to check you in . We will engage as much or as little as you would like. We are here to insure you have an awesome stay. Your 1/2 of the house is private. Shared driveway w/ neighbor but very private. House sits on about 1 acre of land. Hockessin is a very scenic , safe area with parks , bike trails and the Wilmington Western Railroad . Look at the website yorklyn.org for updates to the incredible project .9 miles away. Longwood Gardens, Winterthur Museum Garden and Library are within a 16 minute drive . Mt Cuba is also just a few miles away . Kennett Square is about a 10 minute drive which has great parks, restaurants and entertainment. University of Delaware , Del Tech, Goldey Beacon, and Widener are also a short drive from our house. Dew Point Brewery is less then . 9 miles down the road and has live music most Friday’s and Saturday’s during the spring and summer . Kennett Square is a 10 Minute car ride where there are excellent restaurants and shopping. Don't forget Delaware has Tax Free shopping ! Several upscale malls are within a 20 minute drive. Lyft and Uber operate in the area. Longwood Gardens as well as several museums and wineries are within a 10 to 20 minute drive. Longwood Gardens is a 16 min drive. Mt Cuba is about a 9 min car ride . Like golfing? There are several golf courses in the area. There are Churches , Temples and Synagogues close by . Cokesbury Village is less then 2 miles away . Auburn State Park is 1 mile away with great hiking trails and the Red Clay Creek. We do have cable tv but channels that come with the basic package (ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS and local FOX). TVs are smartTV’s so they have NETFLIX capabilities . Our home has awesome outdoor space to relax and enjoy. The front walkway is crushed stone with pavers … we mention this only for those that may have challenges walking . Home is not suitable for parties and noise travels at night so we ask you to keep this in mind . There’s an Airbnb for every type of person and I would describe ours as a private retreat. Are you noisy and want to party it up ... we would not be the right Airbnb match .
