Walk up a stone pathway to stairs that reach the main level deck & entrance. Add on the hot tub for $50! A big picture window in every upstairs room of this lil' round house let you enjoy the trees & natural light! 2 bedrooms on the upper level with one Jack & Jill Bathroom. Wi-Fi Available if you don't want to completely unplug. Everything about this lil' house is small with just enough space to enjoy & reconnect with each other during your quiet getaway. We have board games, a few puzzles, books, dvd's, & an antennae for local channels, as well as an Apple TV with wifi to stream online. There is a TV in the living area only & you will need your log in credentials to stream your favorite app. Each level is just under 700 square feet to give you an idea of the size of the space. We do decorate for Christmas. <3 The kitchen has a full size range/oven, microwave, & small refrigerator with freezer. There is a Keurig & a French press with manual grinder for all of our fellow coffee lovers, just bring your own beans! In case you find yourself wanting to make your meals, there are pots, pans, & all of the basic findings in the kitchen cabinets. You are 5 miles from the interstate but, will be 20 minutes from town; there is a Dollar General Market with limited groceries at the bottom of the mountain & the local gas station has pizza & a deli just in case you forget something or are hungry on your way in. Ozone Market has some food items on the weekends & is a diamond in the rough. There is an electric car charger outside!! Bedroom one has a queen size mattress, bedroom two has a Murphy Bed with a double mattress. There is a twin mattress downstairs in a third room that is partitioned off. You do have to go through bedroom one or two to get to the bathroom and the interior spiral stair case is located through a door in bedroom two. Got to love quirky layouts! There is a picture of the layout in the photos section. If you go down the interior spiral staircase-watch your step and you will find a table, sofa, recliner, as well as a washer & dryer for you to use at your convenience, so you can pack less & stay longer. Get all of your bird watching, front porch rockin' & swingin' in rain or shine, under the covered deck. On the deck there is a table with chairs to sit outside & sip your beverage of choice & listen to the wind chimes. Lots of trees available to put up a hammock & enjoy the forest. There is a charcoal grill available for your use & a firepit to roast marshmallows & stargaze through the trees. We have a gate for stairs inside and out, as well as outlets covered and cabinet locks but, please use your discretion if you are bringing children because, there are stairs inside and out. We also welcome pets. Please list you are bringing a pet on the guest count. Only potty trained & not destructive pets & bring bags to clean up after them in the yard. The driveway holds 6 cars. You will need a vehicle to get around. Let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay more comfortable. We live nearby & will be available if you have any questions or concerns during your stay. We are here as little or as much as you want and need us to be! In its prime, Renegade Mountain was a hopping place, boasting a ski resort & a gorgeous golf course. Now, it is the perfect quiet mountain top get away to relax & enjoy the wildlife. Deer & turkey are regular visitors. You are apx. a one mile walk to the Cumberland Trail! Let us know if you want directions! A shorter loop around the top of the mountain, just on the road is a great option for an after dinner walk with mountain views & ponds. Nature Lovers Delight! The Cumberland Trail is apx. a one mile walk right outside your front door. If you don't want to hike to Black Mountian or Ozone Falls, you can go on a short car ride to them as well. Overlook Nature Trail in Crossville & Mount Roosevelt Fire Tower are also favorites. Centrally located between Crossville & Rockwood/Harriman. Crossville is known as the Golf Capital of Tennessee & has Cumberland Mountain State Park, Cumberland County Playhouse, some great local wineries, & restaurants. Burgess Falls, Virgin Falls, Frozen Head, Historic Rugby, Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, & lots more are all within a day trip & back. Watts Barr Lake is close if you are all about the lake life. Caney Creek Marina has boat rentals. The Fort at Ladd Landing in Kingston is a great place to see the water & get some history in. Knoxville is an easy drive if you want to check out the bigger city. Disclosures for transparency: We are on a mountain. At the beginning of the drive up Renegade Mtn. Pkwy you start at an apx. elevation of 1580ft. Our house is apx. at 2500ft. It is a curvy paved road with some pot holes. Its a gorgeous drive up though! The road is not maintained by TDOT so if it snows, it may be slippery. Please use caution. We are on a mountain in the woods. While we do all we can to ensure the critters stay outside the picture windows, that isn’t 100% possible. Please be understanding and do your part by wiping counters of any food debris and crumbs. These creatures reside in nature and we have no control over them. We do our best to keep them out including, quarterly exterminator visits, ultrasonic pest repellers, etc. We cannot control mother nature and therefore do not refund if you encounter her business during your stay. We do live on a mountain-we have internet that typically works fine but, sometimes there are outages. It is not super fast but, the fastest we have available. If it goes out, please let us know & we will do everything in our power to get you back online. We leave the house stocked with 6 towels, 6 wash cloths, 2 make up cloths, 2 hand towels. If you need any extra for your stay, please let us know. We also provide 1-2 rolls of paper towels, 2-3 rolls of toilet paper, one small shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, hand soaps (one for kitchen & one for bathroom sink), & a small dish soap. We have “starter supplies” and some consumable items (like baggies, tin foil, etc.) are just leftovers from other guests that we don’t replace. If there is anything in particular you need to make your stay more comfortable, please let us know. We do not have central heat & air but, do have an electric fireplace in the living room, each room has their own small electric space heaters, and the living area has a large wall heater & air unit that you commonly see in hotels that gets the job done! We suggest leaving the ceiling fan on and bedroom doors open to help circulate the air. Bedroom 1 has a standing floor fan. We have table fans in bedroom 2 & 3. There is also a window unit in bedroom 1 & 2. Basement with twin bed does not have a unit but, basement typically stays cool if door stays shut. All items in pictures may or may not be the exact ones when you stay. Things break, need replaced, or thoroughly cleaned. There will be something of like quality to take its place. We also try to add seasonal decor. We are a work in progress! We can only work in between bookings so just in case something is partially complete when you arrive. We are currently trying to install a tv in downstairs living area. There is also a small hole in the ceiling in partitioned bedroom three that may or may not be completely repaired.
