"A quiet, humble home on the Cumberland River," where you can go back in time and relax. The Cook’s Cottage $168* has a King size bed, whirlpool bath, walk-in shower and sitting area. I am in the country about 35 minutes from Clarksville. I have 5 Rooms in the Inn and one Cottage. The Cottage is $168* a night for two people. Each room in the Inn is $138* per night for two people. Each additional person per room is $10*. Some rooms can only sleep 2 the most that a room can sleep is 6. Please look at the description of the rooms before booking. This is a Bed and Breakfast. We have many attraction close by for you to enjoy. Beachaven Vineyards & Winery – Free tours and wine tasting. Also check their calendar of events. (30 miles, 42 mins) Bell Witch Cave – Take a tour of the old Bell Farm, the Historic Bell Witch Cave and canoe down the Red River. Check out the family supernatural story for yourself. (45 miles, 1 hour) Cumberland City Ferry – With only two Ferries left in the State of Tennessee, it is a treat to ride across the Cumberland River. (about 2 miles) Dickson Antique Trail – Dickson has five antique stores on the trail, but they also have more stores in town. (abt an hour) Fort Defiance Clarksville – Best preserved example of Civil War earthen forts anywhere. (21.2 miles, 33 min) Fort Donelson National Battlefield – Maj Lewis fought here with Gen Nathan Bedford Forrest. Maj Lewis had five holes in his coat but all shots missed him. (28.5 miles, 39 min) Fort Donelson National Cemetery – This cemetery was established in 1867. (27 miles, 37 min) Historic Downtown Clarksville – Established in 1795, the architecture is amazing. You can shop, dine & explore. (22.4 miles, 35 min) Historic Collinsville - Is a living history museum with restored log houses and outbuildings dating from 1830 to 1870. (37 miles, 1 hour) L&N Railroad Station – This station dates back to 1881. Only open Tue, Thur & Sat 9am-1pm. (23 miles, 38 mins) Land Between The Lakes – Come out and Play! (55 miles, 1 hour 13 mins) Loretta Lynn Ranch – Tour Loretta’s Plantation Home, Butcher Holler Home Place & Simulated Coal Mine. (40 miles, 1 h 17 min) McGregor Park Riverwalk – Walking trail along the Cumberland River, picnic areas, playground, boat ramp and “As the River Flows” Museum. (21.9 miles, 33 min) Paris Landing State Park – An 841 acre park for all water sports and land activities. Check out upcoming events here. (41.7 miles, 55 min) Roxy Regional Theatre – “Clarksville’s oldest professional theatre”. They have a combination of shows, one is their professional company shows and other is community produced with new scripts. (22.6 miles, 36 min) Surrender House – The site of the “unconditional surrender” of General Buckner to General Grant on February 16, 1862. The Cumberland River is across the road, you can walk along the road or just sit on the porch and enjoy watching the boats go down the river. Yes, I tell guest of the rich history of the family that built the home during cook breakfast. I also offer a home cooked country dinner for an extra charge. My house over looks the Cumberland River. I enjoy hearing the frogs at night while rocking on the front porch. No I'm in the country and we do not have public transit this far out. Clarksville is about 30 minutes. The cottage is $168 has a King size bed and sleeps 2.
