Greetings from beautiful Sturgeon Bay, located in the heart of Door County, Wisconsin! Our home is a beautiful historic building in the downtown district, across from the shipyard, and in close proximity to restaurants, cafes, and the waterfront. The private and spacious guest room is on the ground floor with its own private bath (down the hall) with easy access to a huge front porch which is welcoming you to relax. We live on the second floor in a separate apartment with our cat Tiger. The guest room is located in a historic building from the 1860s on Third Ave- the prominent boulevard in downtown Sturgeon Bay, and across from a working shipyard where you may be able to see freighters and frigates being built. Walking distance to cafes, restaurants, and the water front; a huge front porch invites a relaxing hangout. The building also houses a music recording studio, plus an apartment upstairs where the owner resides. The large guest room (15'x25') is very clean, with two very comfortable queen sized beds (one of them with a memory foam mattress), and a couch. A private and clean bath room with shower is just down the hall. Wifi, Cable TV, microwave oven, and a small fridge are also included. Sorry, pets are not welcome. Guests will receive a message with lock box code prior to arrival and are free to check in anytime after 2pm. Private bath. For breakfast there are several restaurants and coffee shops within minutes to walk. Huge front porch offers nice area to relax. Free off street parking in front of house. Motorcycles, bicycles and kayaks can be parked behind house and in garage. I would like you to be very comfortable. We can interact as much or as little as you like. Enjoy your time here! The location is awesome. Views of the shipyard, the water, and downtown. A professional theater is located just down the street (Third Avenue Playhouse) and the best restaurants just 2-3 minutes to walk. Sunset Park is 5 minutes to walk. A breathtaking drive along the water towards northern Door County starts right here. Sturgeon Bay is located on the waters of Lake Michigan (the bay of Sturgeon Bay connects to the bay of Green Bay, which is part of Lake Michigan, plus there is a canal that directly connects the city to Lake Michigan) We are very close to the water (we can see it from our front porch) and there are abundant opportunities for fishing, kayaking, boating, and walking/biking along shorelines. Silent sports are becoming more and more popular in Door County, too. The arts have always played an important role here, and Sturgeon Bay offers great opportunities with TAP (Third Avenue Playhouse), Our home also houses a well known recording studio called STUDIO 330. If you are interested in music you will be well rewarded! You can walk to Sunset Park, and on the way check out the amazing Bay Shipbuilding facility (5 min). Or head into town and visit some of the great restaurants, bars and cafes- all within a 2 minute walk. The downtown waterfront is equally close. And for a good workout, you can walk/jog/bike a loop across the two bridges in downtown Sturgeon Bay. Lots to explore right from our front steps. Plenty off-street parking right in front of our house- big enough for an RV. And a fast, dedicated guest WiFi network. Next door is the amazing Foxglove Inn- one of Door County's premier B&Bs.
