Escape the crowds and the chaos and enjoy animals, nature, and a simpler life at Pholia Farm. The Airstream is super comfy, with everything you need to cook, relax, and sleep great. Hang with the goats, hike the hills, stare a llama in the eye, stargaze, see our off-grid solar and hydro power system, and more. Strict arrival time 3-6 unless approved at booking. We are covid vaccinated. All guests agree to follow current state and CDC guidelines for masking. Beds: Inside is cute, and cozy, with a memory foam Queen bed. A twin bed (also a memory foam) is also available for a 3rd person or sleeping separate. (Let us know ahead of time if we need to have it ready for you). Galley: (fridge, stove, sink, plus grill on deck) is stocked with oatmeal and toppings, pancake mix, syrup, pasta and sauce, oil and vinegar and more. Bring food or dine out (check out our recommendations and menu binder when you arrive or ask ahead). Bathrooms: A green, composting sawdust privy is part of the Airstream. Hot shower, fresh towels, and "real" bathroom is available a short walk (about 60 steps) in the main building. (the real bathroom is sometimes used by hosts) Wi-fi on front patio of main building/barn or in the sitting room, feel free to hang out in either space, read some magazines and learn more about the local area. We also have Gianaclis' books for sale, our homemade goat milk- olive oil soaps, and Pholia Farm T-shirts. The farm, and Airstream are powered by the sun and fully off-the power grid! (This can mean some power limitations depending on the weather). There is a great heater for during the winter and fans for the summer and an air conditioner that can be used during limited hours. We manage the 24 acre property organically and do our best to live in synch with nature. We love having children, but know that the Airstream is old and breakable, and you will be in a forest, farm situation: more of a challenge for keeping them safe. Pets: We now accept one pet traveling with you. We have one dog that is loose a lot and well socialized and another who will be in the goat pen and probably not happy to see another dog. We have a routine for dealing with this, but let us know how your dog is with other canines. Located 10 miles outside of the City of Rogue River, and 40 minutes from Ashland-home of the Shakespeare Festival. The Rogue River is famous for its scenic beauty, rafting, and fishing. Nearest airport is Medford, about 35 minutes from the farm. We are 25 minutes from the closest Greyhound station in Grants Pass Oregon. We recommend renting a car or bringing your own. Check in/arrival must be between 3PM and 6PM unless approved prior to booking! Also check out by 11AM unless other arrangements have been made. Trails, farm, morning chores (milk a goat!) We hope to meet you at check in and make sure you are comfortable. If you rise early enough, please join us in the barn for milking chores. We are off the beaten path, about 9 miles out of town, so come for the benefits of being out in the country, that's the strength of our location. We are fenced with a lock and have a livestock guardian dog (LuLu) who protects the goats, sometimes barks during the night. The Airstream is secure and safe, but the door doesn't lock. This is fancy camping! We are in the forest, so poison oak is present in many places. We'll show you what it looks like if you aren't sure.
