This is our 5th year hosting on Neahkahnie Mtn among giant spruce and breathtaking ocean views. This may also be our last (sorry, beloved regulars!) before this becomes a long-term rental. Your suite includes a private entrance, yoga space, art-filled bedrm w.versatile kitchenette, a spa-like bathroom w.robes & foot massager, a private patio sited towards sunset AND an outdoor sofa & hot tub. The tranquility is astounding. One sweet dog welcome! This house is remarkably secluded, the nearest house an acre away. Your entrance is private; we have no shared spaces but are nearby should there be anything you need. Architecturally, this incredibly situated 1990's home is spread over 4 stories and built into the side of a mountain. In fact the front yard IS Neahkahnie Mountain; the trailhead for this sublime hike, a hugely popular coastal attraction, is minutes from your door. Because the house is on a mountain with several levels, folks with mobility issues will not be happy here. I am sorry about that. Though it's indicated that we accommodate 3 guests, that's to facilitate a canine family member. We can make a single bed available for a child. Contact us for details. Dog folks, be sure to count your dog as a guest for accurate pricing and please READ RULES. A $10 rebate plus a noon check-out is available when you take your garbage and recycling with you. Art lovers will note that the house is absolutely rich in paintings, drawings, sculpture and found art, a great deal of it by Northwest artists. The bedroom has a custom kitchenette with sink, frig/freezer, microwave, super-fast induction plate w/pots and pans, toaster oven, bean grinder, hot water heater and coffee maker. Expect fresh coffee beans and a range of organic teas. The spa-like bathroom has a huge tub plus a separate shower, a big comfy sofa and an amazing foot massager. Spa robes included. Once I've settled you in, it's entirely up to you how much you want to interact. I'm easy either way. Neighborhood? That's funny! We are talking secluded, mountaintop style, though only 1.5 miles to the town of Manzanita which is a dream of a little beach town with a 7 mile long beach! Though there’s great hiking everywhere, including right out the front door, getting here & getting around is all about a car. Dog Folks: Please count your dog as a guest. We have a 3 guest limit. If you're bringing a dog, See House Rules. This amazing retreat on the mountain is also our home. If you’d describe yourself or anyone in your party as loud and bit on the wild side (big drinkers, mega stoners, loud lovers, etc) we regret this is not your kind of place.
