The bedroom furniture was all handmade by artisans in Bothell, Washington. The mattress, sheets and duvet covers are all high quality. There is a dust mite cover on the mattress as well and all pillows have protectors on them too. The floor is bamboo. There is a smart TV with netflix and local TV channels. You have access to the whole place except for the garage. With permission, you are able to store any valuable outdoor gear like stand up paddle boards, bikes, windsurf and or kiteboarding gear etc. I do enjoy socializing with our guests if they are enjoying breakfast with us, but you may certainly feel free to do your own thing. It is entirely up to you. We are walking distance (250 feet) to our neighbors "The Cathedral Ridge Winery" located directly to the east of our property. They make wonderful award winning wines and you don't want to miss out on a tasting if you are in to wine. You may walk west on Post Canyon Drive about 1/2 mile and this gets you into a nature area where many people enjoy walking their dogs, riding horses or mountain biking on the many trails and dirt roads. The "Marchesi Winery" is also lovely and only a mile away serving up Italian varietals in a rustic indoor/outdoor tasting area. There is not yet any UBER in Hood River. There are some local taxi's, but be prepared to call well in advance and don't expect big city service. You can always call your host " David" for a ride if you are really in need. Please don't drink and drive here as the local enforcement is very strict. We have plenty of off street parking here at the Vineyardview. We are pet friendly, but kindly ask that our guests pay an additional non-refundable pet fee of $25. cash or paypal to help with the cost of the extra cleaning that needs to be done. There is currently no provision on the airbnb site to allow us to collect this fee, but I have been told that airbnb is working on it.
