Be mindful that there is a full flight of stairs to access the front door of the cabin. Once inside you will find that the main floor offers a den with a queen sleeper sofa, stone fireplace, full bath, fully equipped kitchen and a private bedroom w/double bed. Loft bedroom is accessed via a ladder and offers an additional king size bed, bedside table, and a glider chair. Both bedroom spaces offer space for hanging clothes. You can enjoy meals inside on a rustic table that seats 6 or just outside on the enclosed screen porch facing the river. Your multi-leveled deck features a gas grill and grilling gazebo as well as outdoor log furniture. Ocoee Riverside Farm is a 30 acre riverfront farm located in the small town of Benton, Tennessee. As a guest of The Riverside Cabin you will come to realize that we really do offer a 'Stay Here, Play Here' environment! The riverside fire pit in an absolute favorite for our cabin guests and we've provided everything you need for roasting hot dogs, grilling sandwiches, or making smores over the open campfire. The boat ramp, adjacent to the cabin, offers easy access to the river should you decide to take a cool dip or splash around with the kids. Additionally, we also offer our guests a number of extra activities that we refer to as "Experiences". Some of our Experiences include Farm Tours, River Tubing, Kayaking, Waterfall Hikes, Horseback Riding, Pony Rides, as well as Camel Rides. Yes, you read that right. You will find our farm to be uniquely located between the best of two worlds and it's as easy as turning right or left at the end of our street! Traveling 15 minutes to the east (right at the stop sign) will take you to Cleveland, TN where you will find all of your favorite restaurants as well as shopping and entertainment options. Traveling 15 minutes to the west (left at the stop sign) will take you into the heart of the Cherokee National Forest. We like to tell our guests that from our farm you are 15 minutes from everything and nothing at the same time! Of course what "nothing" really means is "nothing ordinary". Popular area activities in and around the National Forest include mountain drives, wine tasting, hiking, biking, white water rafting on the Ocoee as well as tubing, kayaking, and fishing both the Ocoee and Hiawassee Rivers. There are over 10 white water rafting companies within a 5 mile radius of our location and you're more than welcome to schedule a tubing or kayaking adventure directly through us where you will be shuttled to the put-in at Sugar Loaf Mountain State Park and float or paddle your way back to the boat dock right here at Ocoee Riverside Farm. Additionally, we are an easy drive to other noteworthy attractions including the Tennessee Aquarium, Ruby Falls, and Rock City. We really do have it all! We have known of guests to utilize Uber but your own vehicle will certainly help you get around our small town. You should not plan on simply "walking" to the store, restaurant, etc. As for parking, that is free and onsite. You will have the convenience of parking directly in front of the cabin. Should you be traveling in more than one vehicle we have plenty of room to accommodate that. When traveling through Benton please be mindful of the speed limit as our town has earned the reputation of being a speed trap. Remember you're in the country. Things just move slower here. Our closest airport is Chattanooga (CHA) and is 36 miles/41 minutes. The international airport in Atlanta (ATL), which can often be much cheaper, is 105 miles/2 hours. Did you know that we can host your event or large family gathering? Here on the farm we offer a total of 8 different Airbnb accomodations that sleep a total of 37 guests.
