Davignon Farm was a dairy farm in the mid-1800's and continued to be worked as such until the mid 60's. The farm then became a family homestead gathering place for the 9 children of Nellie and Leo Davignon. Guests will have access to 263 acres of our fields and forests for hiking, cross country skiing or snowshoeing. Newly developed trails through the woods are ideal for hiking, snowshoe, and cross country skiing. Two and half miles of private access right here on the property. We have a second private house on the property, you may see us coming and going. Please flag us down as you care to or not! Brownington has been discovered by the Amish. It is not unusual to see horse drawn buggies, clip clomping up and down School House Road right in front of The Farm. The Old Stone House Museum is located in Brownington. It has collections of historic buildings and wonderful artifacts from the area. The grounds are the perfect spot to enjoy a picnic or take in the views from Prospect Hill lookout tower. The property is not far from Route 91. You might want to bring your passport as the Canadian border is 20 miles away. The property is located between Jay Peak and Burke Mountain and less than 5 miles to Lake Willoughby. Several nearby hiking trails are maintained by Northwoods Stewardship Center.
