Large, renovated luxury apartment in a historic Davis building. Centrally located, walking distance to grocery, shopping, restaurants and trails. Located directly upstairs from Stumptown Ales, the finest craft brewery in the region. 10 miles to ski areas! This spacious loft apartment is on the main street of the charming town of Davis, WV. The apartment has 4 bedrooms, one of which is a suite with king size bed and queen size pullout couch with private bath. The other three bedrooms share two large baths. One room with double bed, one room with two queen size beds, and one room at end of hall with one twin size bed. Large, fully equipped, modern kitchen with "smart TV" is perfect for sociable meals with family and friends. In the dining room, an expandable table seats up to 8 people. Comfortable living room with large "smart" TV, a DVD library and gas log fireplace adjoins the dining area. A perfect blend of private and social spaces makes The Loft an ideal location for families or groups of friends traveling together. We offer off street parking for up to two cars at rear of building, with ample free street parking nearby. Private apartment entryway. I am usually at my office next door in the print shop, so please feel free to stop by if you are here during the week. Davis is a friendly town of fewer than 600 people on the banks of the Blackwater river, just upstream from the spectacular Blackwater Falls State Park, and a short distance from our sister city, Thomas, WV, where you will find art galleries and live music at The Purple Fiddle. Hike or bike directly to trails and parks from The Loft. We are directly across the road from the Davis Riverfront Park, which features a large covered pavilion and playground area. Walking distance to several great restaurants, art galleries, grocery store, bike shop, gift shops and Post Office . Plan to bring or rent a bike to get around town and onto the trails. Ski areas and other State Parks are within a short drive. No public transportation (yet). Please note that the first floor of this building houses a fine micro brewery, Stumptown Ales, that is open daily.....usually not later than 11pm. For people who prefer a very quiet retreat this may be a little noisy at times. For the traveler who appreciates a fine craft brew, this, quite frankly, could be the best place you've ever stayed.
