Cozy, fantastic open floor plan home with fireplace, bright breakfast bar and dining area, delux grill on open deck. Feel free to use exercise bike, eliptical, and large therapy ball. Semi secluded older neighborhood tucked into area with hiking, biking trails nearby. Wonderful hiking at Hatcher Pass, close by; unbelievable views! Enjoy kayaking, canoeing, bicycling, and hiking at Eklutna Lake and visit Reflection Lake on the way! This is the perfect getaway spot for anyone. I am near the quaint friendly town of Palmer; rich with history, garden and museum attractions, boutiques, activities, and music year round - dancing in the street in the Summer. Palmer is the home of the State Fairgrounds. I am within walking distance to the Fairgrounds. Hatcher Pass, close by, offers amazing hiking trails, views, and a visitor's center for the old gold mining settlement. My place is open and full of Alaska art for a treasured experience to be had by all. Brochures are available for tourist attractions. The whole house is available to guests, including deck and grill, with the exception of the host's bedroom/bathroom. There are 3 steps at the front entryway to the arctic room. This Airbnb can also be entered by the ramp in the garage, with notification. When I'm at home from work, I give my guests space but am available when needed. Co-host Greg is available through the summer, too. He's usually on-site, and you're welcome to ask him questions. He has a friendly senior dog that may be with him at times.. Palmer is a friendly and unique town and a great place to shop boutiques, visit a historical museum, or hike at town parks. You are close enough to spend the day at Hatcher Pass or Eklutna Lake, which are favorite spots for hiking, biking, and kayaking/canoeing. Palmer, in the Matsu Valley, is full of rich history and plentiful with natural charm. It's best to have a car to take advantage of the many Parks and to get around. You are within a few blocks and can walk to the State Fairgrounds! There are bonfires that go on, during 3 seasons, in this neighborhood. If you're interested in joining, please let me know. Neighbors may also welcome you with a personal invitation.
