Clinton Beach Bungalow #1
After a day at the beach, hiking, boating or shopping, you can relax in one of our private, stylish bungalows, while taking in water views and listening to the birds sing. At night you may want to try one on the amazing local restaurants from Madison to Old Saybrook. We also have outstanding theater and farmers markets in season. You can also stay in and have a romantic dinner in with fresh veggies from our garden and wine from the local winery. You will fall in love with this historic area! The 4 Bungalows are behind the main house, circa 1785, and are nestled between two beautiful gardens with views of the Long Island Sound and the Marina. The interiors have Terrain furniture paired with beadboard vaulted ceilings and quality kitchen supplies, linens and very comfortables beds, with outdoor seating and wagons to take to the beach. The 4 Bungalows are nestled in a quite and scenic part of the New England gold coast. Just steps away from the Clinton Town Beach, Old Harbor Marina and close to Hammonasset State Beach, Madison downtown and a quick drive to Old Saybrook. Note you may want to add another couple to your vacation- Check out Bungalow #4! You are close enough to walk to the beach or ride your bike into town. Close to the Clinton Train Station and 95. 69 Waterside Lane is listed as The Capt. James Farnham House circa 1785 on the National Historic Register as a “protected resource.” The Bungalows are also listed as The Morgan Meadow Lane Cottages from 1965. Fun Fact: Mark Elletson is a distant relative, on his fathers side, of Captain Farnham!
