This simple heated bunkhouse has two lofts, a futon and a tiny bedroom with a new Zinus Green Tea mattress that can sleep up to 7. Kids especially love the lofts and the chickens! The pricing in this area can be prohibitive, so we want to help by providing this clean, comfortable place to sleep with not many extras. There is no shower, but there are workarounds. Our chickens (no rooster!) run around the yard to free-range, you can feed them. Glacier National Park is nearby, about 20 minutes! The queen bed is a very comfortable short queen Zinus Green Tea memory foam mattress. The bed will have a freshly washed set of sheets on it ready for your arrival. The main area has a futon, flat screen TV and mirror on the wall, mini-fridge, microwave, box fan, folding table and toilet. The toilet is curtained off, not behind a door. There is no shower or tub, but there is a wide sink with hot and cold water and a set of towels. There is a wall heater with thermostat on the wall but there is no A/C yet (we are working on it). High-speed wireless internet included, strength varies. You will need to walk through the backyard to access the bunkhouse. There is also a 125V outlet, a water hose and a sewer cleanout if necessary, for RV use. Destinations (drive time): Whitefish is 10 minutes, Glacier National Park entrance 20 minutes, Flathead Lake 30 minutes, nearest hospital 6 minutes. The whole bunkhouse, including porch. Please text me to check in and out and if you need anything. We will answer our door as well, at the front house. :) Cute little neighborhood on the edge of town with horses and farms nearby. The mountains loom very large in your view here and are breathtaking. Glacier National Park is a short drive away, Columbia Falls is the last actual city before the park and is called "The Gateway to Glacier". Though there is a bus stop a short walk away (at the corner where the Super One is) a car is definitely needed here. The bus doesn't come often and would require strict planning to use. There are Uber drivers here, though, as well. The lofts are carpeted so anyone can sleep with just sleeping bags in them, or bring an air mattress. We do have a new one for purchase under the futon if needed. Cleaning during your stay is available for $35 per full clean, done by Triple S Cleaning Services, just let me know ahead of time to make sure they are available. It's ok to feed the chickens, they eat almost everything we eat, as long as it is cooked and not moldy. We feed them our leftovers often. Basically- Some bread is ok, just not too much. There are water bottles in the mini-fridge for your use, though the sink water is connected to our kitchen line and is safe to drink.
