Welcome to HOME BASE, a light filled loft in downtown Decorah. With high ceilings and hardwood floors, our space is a mashup of luxury + comfort. Giant front windows face downtown Water Street while the back patio offers a deluxe view of the city baseball diamond and tennis courts, surrounded by the northern bluffs. We created a space that feels invigorating + restful all at once. Close proximity to explore the area attractions, or stay in to cook, read, and take a bath. Home Base is your place. Home Base is a gorgeous loft apartment with beautiful furnishings and thoughtful design. Our curated art and obscure objects conjure stories and memories. The living room is an expansive and beautifully furnished space for conversation and relaxation. Each of the two bedrooms and two bathrooms have their own colorful vibe. Great bedding and unique lighting add to the comfort and function of our space. One of the bedrooms connects to a small room that is perfect for a young child to claim as their special spot to read and rest. This sleeping nook has a toddler sized mattress and fun bedding and pillows. The modern, fully equipped kitchen features a large island with seating and a spectacular view. The patio is a perfect perch for morning coffee or tea, or a moonlit nightcap. Guests have access to the entire loft space. We are around and would love to help you make the most of your stay. Prime location for walking to co-op for groceries, out to restaurants, bars, shopping. "Hometown Taxi" is our dependable local taxi service. Because our loft is upstairs, we have a chair lift for those that need assistance. One of the showers is "walk in" type with hand rails.
