We are located in the heart of Nelson County, VA- about 25-30 min outside of Charlottesville, sitting on just under 100 acres. This home features an open floor plan with massive windows for breathtaking views. Located just minutes from Woodridge Farm Brewery, Delfosse Winery and Pippin Hill Winery. Whether you are on a brewery/winery tour, watching the sunset on the deck, walking the trail throughout the property, or roasting s’mores on the solo stove we aim to make this feel like your home away from home. Less than 3 years old, the guest house was designed with modern comfort in mind. Located above the garage, there is tons of living space for you and your family to spread out. The master bedroom features a queen platform bed with vaulted ceiling and a 42 in smart tv. The second room has a bunk bed, changing table and Lotus pack and play available upon request. Other child friendly amenities include: ikea highchair, bed rail for the bottom bunk bed and a slumberpod that fits over the pack and play. Located in the full bathroom is a closet containing an Electrolux front loading washer and dryer. The living space is an open floor plan and includes a wood burning fireplace and a 55 inch smart tv. The kitchen contains all the appliances you’d need : a hand mixer, Ninja crockpot, microwave, Viking food processor, blender, waffle maker, coffee maker, tea kettle, toaster, and a wine fridge Just outside the dining room, the deck has a gas grill, 4 Adirondack chairs surrounding the gas fire pit and exterior recessed speakers. A solo stove is located at ground level with firewood located nearby. There is a door located on the ground level nearby the deck that has a half bath and closet with numerous lawn games and a bounce house available for your use. There is a walkable trail and multiple access points to a creek throughout the property. In addition, our property extends across Rockfish River Rd, allowing access to the Rockfish River. While the guesthouse is connected to our home via a “bridge” (see photos), you will have your own private entrance to the stand alone guesthouse. Upon reservation, you will be given a code to unlock the lockbox to the right of the front door to access the key. Upon reservation, you will be given my personal cell phone number. Please feel free to text with any questions or concerns. With us being next door, the bonus is we will usually be home to help if in person assistance is required. With that said, our goal is to stay out of your way as much as possible. We do not allow smoking in the home nor animals in or around the home/property. No: Hunting Fireworks Parties Weddings/events 4WD/AWD access: The beginning of the driveway is shared with our neighbor. Once you veer off to the right for our separate driveway, you will notice a small portion is quite steep. If we experience snow or ice in the winter, you will have difficulty getting up this portion of the driveway without a 4 wheel drive vehicle. **Upon reservation during the winter months, you will be asked to confirm you will have a 4 wheel drive vehicle- as we will be unable to refund you if you can not make it up the driveway.** During the remainder of the year, it is advised (though not required) to only book if you have an all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive vehicle. The steep, gravel driveway can be rough on the undercarriage of a smaller car. Unfortunately, at this time this home is not handicap friendly - there is a full flight of stairs you must go up to reach the front door Week-long rentals now available. Minimum stay of two nights.
