Embark on a kayak to explore Lake Geneva or take the channel alongside the property to access the remainder of the Alexandria Chain of Lakes, starting at Lake Le Homme Dieu and its boat up restaurants. The Lake House is only 7.2 miles to Lake Carlos State Park as well as the nearby Central Lakes Trail and more! The recently renovated cabin orients to the East so as to experience beautiful Minnesota lakefront sunrises. You will pull into the driveway on the left side as it is shared. Try not to be immediately overwhelmed by the beauty of the lake! there is a deck on the South Side of the home with a smart lock, which opens into the main living room area. There is a 2nd entrance, directly across the cabin from the main entrance, which is a manual deadbolt lock. LIVING ROOM: This room features windows facing the lake and overlooking the firepit. There is a cozy couch that becomes a sleeping space. There is a 43” Smart TV with Roku, paired with our high speed Wi-Fi - which allows you to log in to your Netflix, Hulu, Disney Plus or any other streaming service you have access. Highlights of the Living Room include: —43” Smart TV with Roku TV access —High Speed WiFi —Coat Hangers/Shoe Rack —Small hand curated collection of outdoor and Minnesota themed books KITCHEN: The newly renovated kitchen opens to the living room and has new appliances, a breakfast bar as well as a full-scale coffee bar. You will be able to utilize new pots and pans to prepare a home cooked meal if desired. The caffeination station features very fresh, locally medium roasted whole beans (regular only - though we do have Caribou Coffee decaf beans as well). There is an assortment of coffee accessories including a coffee grinder, milk frother, various flavored syrups, sugar, coffee creamer, kettle, various types of teas (both regular and decaf), and travel containers. Other blankets available if you need more warmth as well. A nightstand is also present to allow easy access to a light source and charging station in the room. The sleeping situation in this bedroom includes a twin memory foam mattress that allows the guest to open the window and have a direct view of the lake. 100% cotton bed linens are utilized for sleeping comfort. There will be a few different pillows to choose from here as well. There is a smaller night stand present with lamps accessible from the bed as well. Tide Free laundry pods and Bounce Free dryer sheets are supplied. An iron and table top ironing board are available to use. OUTDOOR SPACE: The outdoor space is where this cabin really stands out! You will have a level lot to the lake with a beautiful fire pit and seating area overlooking the lake. The dock will allow you to tie up your own watercraft and you can utilize it to fish from as well. There is a public access point just a short walk to the north of the property to drop your watercraft in that is approximately. Along the north side of the property, there is a small channel that allows various watercraft to have access to Lake Le Homme Dieu, which has a variety of boat up restaurants. We have also provided a wooden deck/patio with an outdoor dining table, overhead lights. There is enough space on the grounds to play some outdoor games as well! The breathtaking view of the lake from the lakeside firepit is exquisite! Normal hours of operation are from 8 am - 10 pm and during these hours, I will return your message quickly. A residential neighborhood with a public fishing pier and nearby public water access point within walking distance of The Lake House. The Lake Le Homme Dieu beach is a brief walk of approximately 0.3 miles South of the cabin on the opposite side of Hwy 29. Parking is available on the left side of the shared driveway. Two normal sized vehicles can easily fit within the parking space. There are train tracks just across the street from the cabin. The train runs through the area approximately 4-5 times per day. The cabin is located in a residential neighborhood and we ask that you are respectful of their privacy as well as the quiet hours as noted in the guidebook. There is no parking on the side of the residential street overnight. You may get a ticket if parked there overnight.
