Relaxing stay at Morris Orchard 25 minutes from Liberty University.
Enjoy a relaxing stay on a working farm convenient to Liberty University. Our renovated 1930's farmhouse features a king bed, queen bed, and 4 twin beds. Take in the fresh air as you look across the farmland and apple orchards from the porch and back deck. You are renting the entire house, make yourself at home. Guests are also able to walk around the farm and enjoy the scenery. We are around the farm anytime you have a question. We are far enough out of town for a relaxing stay, but close enough to Lynchburg to enjoy the great restaurants in downtown. There are also some great options nearby in Amherst including, Travelers, Briar patch, Vitos Italian restaurant, OIP, and Lacarretta. Sluggos Has some great homemade ice cream and just up 130 you will find Woodruffs Store Cafe and Pie shop, which was featured in Southern Living for one of the best apple pies. If you enjoy craft libations stop by Loose Shoe Brewing, Lazy Days Winery, Ankida Ridge Vineyards and Rebec Vinyards in Amherst, or travel a little farther north to the 151 trail (Devils Backbone, Wild Wolf, Blue Mountain Brewery, Bold Rock Hard Cider, Hilltop Berry Farm and Winery, Virginia Distillery, Wood Ridge Farm Brewery...and more) Thre are may historic sites to visit in the area, and Natural Bridge is a quick trip. also many hiking trails including the Appalachian trail and the James river offer great outdoor adventures. The Farmhouse is located in the middle of Morris Orchard, a working family farm for 8 generations. We grow Apples, Peaches, Pick your own Blue and Blackberries, and Pumpkins. There are goats, donkeys and rabbits nearby that the kids can feed. Ask about fishing in the pond. We want you to enjoy your stay safely, there are some areas of the farm which access is not permitted due to rough terrain, or work being done at the time. Fire-Pit: The fire-pit is available for use at the cabin. Burning is prohibited during any windy, dry conditions, if you are unsure please ask. From February 15 - April 30 there is a 4:00 pm statewide burn ban. During this period fires are only allowed from 4:00 pm - midnight. There is a $500 fine fine for burning before 4:00. Fire wood is available on site. Do not leave a fire unattended.
