Totally renovated and updated 1896 cottage with modern amenities; fenced in yard with a swing in the Magnolia tree and patio set w/ umbrella. The cottage has been decorated in nice light beachy tones. All new furnishings with your comfort in mind. Rockers on the front porch and a patio set and umbrella in the back with a grill for outdoor dining. This is our 2nd home newly purchased in January 2019. It's a new listing and we continue to upgrade the cottage with each monthly visit. It's been a short term rental only recently and we already have positive reviews on another site. Latest upgrades; ceiling fans in each room, monitored security panel and swing on the Magnolia tree! This is a 2 bedroom plus sitting room (single sleeper sofa) and 2 full bathroom cottage. Everything is newly renovated as of December 2018! All new furnishings with your comfort in mind. Open concept living room, dining room and kitchen make for a great space to hang out! High vaulted ceiling with a Hunter ceiling fan plus linen curtains/blinds create a light, airy space! Fully stocked kitchen is ready for meal prep. All top of the line stainless steel appliances; French door refrigerator, LG Studio gas 5 burner stove, microwave and dishwasher. The master bedroom has a very comfortable queen bed with a dresser, side tables and an en-suite fully tiled shower. Large closet with a luggage rack makes for easy living. The second bedroom has a full size bed, dresser, side tables and closet with a luggage rack. The sitting room is a great office, reading area or space for a crib/playpen. The sofa has an upgraded mattress and converts to a very comfortable twin sofa bed. The closet has hanging space and also contains the 2 Tommy Bahama beach chairs and a beach umbrella. Please bring your own beach towels! We also store the patio set cushions, pillows and citronella candles in this closet. This room is big enough for a crib or playpen. The hall bathroom is a spacious fully tiled bath/shower combo and has natural light from an atrium window. This cottage has all the comforts of home since it is indeed our home away from home! You have use of the entire cottage, front porch, back patio area and yard. We live in western NC but have a local property manager that is available should the need arise. I am just a phone call or text away. The cottage is located in a real neighborhood, one in which people still know and care about each other. The location makes it very easy to walk, bike or drive downtown. It's about a 7 minute walk to Bay Street. Beaufort is a very walkable little seaside town. If you have bikes you should bring them; if not you may want to rent some. It's a short 20 minute drive from Beaufort to Hunting Island State Park with one of the most beautiful beaches on the east coast. We have a security system that will be set to the same code as your door code. It is within view of the front door in the dining room. We also have a 24/7 monitored fire alarm system built into the security touch pad that is fully automated. This is a requirement of licensed properties in the City of Beaufort. BTW we have positive reviews on another short-term rental site. This is our 2nd home so we keep improving the cottage with each stay.
