Close to amenities, and only 1 minute from I469, SE of Fort Wayne, IN. Must be 25 years old or older to rent! The studio apartment is privately attached to the owners' home, via locked doors. Jim and Judy are friendly and available, if needed, but respect your privacy. The apartment has a private entrance and plenty of parking. Use of kayak, canoe, and row boat while here; fishing equipment available for off-dock catch and release fishing. Skating IF the ice is thick enough. Always, safety first, so life vests required and available. Coded entry or owners available. Owners are available to answer questions as needed, either live or via phone. Our country home is secluded in a safe, neighborly environment, but very close to the real world: 1/2 mile to Interstate 469; 1/2 mile to Mariam Hills Reception Hall; 12 minutes to FWAirport; 12 minutes to Downtown Fort Wayne; a few minutes to local dining (Renaissance Greek or American, 9 Mile Pub, or 6 Mile Place); and 2 minutes to Emmanuel Lutheran Soest Church. Marian Hills is a beautiful reception hall, hosted by our cousins, Kate and Jeff, and we offer a 20% discount to friends and family members attending events there. Biking or driving is recommended, as this is country living, with most amenities are at a distance. Lifts to/from the airport are around $10. Food delivery from restaurants and groceries are available. Welcome to Paradise Lakehouse! We hope and trust you will have a relaxing, fun time at our home. Safety is our first priority, especially in light of water dangers. We want you to be safe and healthy to enjoy your time. Everyone must wear life preservers at all times outside and must be watched carefully. You may swim off the dock or at the Southside beach area. Life preservers are required and water-shoes are recommended as you may encounter sharp rocks. Be careful of walking barefoot and touching unfamiliar plants: uneven terrain can cause falls, and natural foliage may produce thorns and/or harmful resins that may irritate the skin. The dock for relaxing. Please keep green gate closed if small children or non-swimmers are near. You may use the South cleared area for fishing, but may not fish from the dock. Uncle Sam considered the fish his friends and fed them daily, so they are not to be eaten. The boats may be used, only with proper life-saving vests or jackets. Please return them in the condition (or better) and to where you found them. This is a safe community, but one never knows. Keep doors locked to keep the home and your belongings secure. Management is not responsible for lost or stolen property, and you will be held accountable for damaged or missing items. Please be mindful that you are in a residential nature-loving neighborhood, and are thus expected to be courteous to all residents (human and otherwise), respect their rights, and refrain from loud music or noise, especially between the hours of 9 p.m. and 9 a.m. Limit cars at the premises to 2 during the day and overnight. Please do not leave smelly trash (diapers, fish, etc.) in the home, but rather take it to the trash receptacles near the garage. The trash bins are to be taken to the road on Tuesday night and recycling every other Thursday night. Please bring back the containers when empty. Others will similarly take care of YOUR trash. The items under the back awning are for your use. Please take care of the life preservers, fishing gear, beach toys, chairs, etc. Return where you found them and in the condition found. At the end of your stay, Remove bedding (upper and lower sheets and pillow cases) and towels and place on washer; Assure that all lights and water are turned off; Lock all doors; Place key in lock box; Have a safe trip home; Encourage your friends to use our place ;) ; Let us know ASAP when you plan to return.
