Sliding glass doors open to fixed window screens to create totally open-air feel with cross breeze. Curtains wrap room for total privacy. King-size bed with memory foam mattress, work/dining area, kitchenette, 3/4 bath, and TV-viewing room. 2 miles from UNC, 5 miles from Duke. Jacuzzi available for up-charge (inquire FIRST before booking, recently out of order). Two miles from UNC, 5 miles from Duke, easy access to Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd, and I-40. 15 miles from RDU International Airport. This is our second Airbnb listing on this same property (if you have a larger party and might want both units or are interested in our larger rental with full kitchen and washer/dryer, please inquire). This 2nd rental was built specifically for use as a Airbnb rental. It has no line-of-sight view from the main house, and has a private entrance. Our intent was to create a luxury space to rent for guests with appreciation for such. The result is a living space so beautiful that we hate to not use it for ourselves! Space is ideal for 1 couple (2 people) in thr king-sized bed. The sofa in the TV viewing room is a futon-bed that folds out and is technically a "full" sized mattress (smaller than a queen) which might accommodate one adult, one adult couple, or up to two kids who can share a bed. Guests are limited to one parking pace in our driveway and must park at the left side of the driveway near start of private walk to the BnB's private entrance. Kitchenette has under-counter fridge, microwave, toaster oven, sink and Keurig coffee maker (no oven or stove-top). Outdoor jacuzzi available for additional cost only, and guests wishing to use should inquire first, before booking, to verify availability. Jacuzzi use is $50 per stay additional per night. Additional rules for jacuzzi are posted on site. Owners maintains the right to deny use of either extra amenity should he/she feel these features might not be used responsibly. We are on the property and generally available, we provide our telephone numbers to text or call with issues, but this unit is accessible through self-check-in, and guest need not interact with us at all, if preferred. In this case we'll share a driveway, so we'll see each other's comings and goings, but there is no line-of-site view from our spaces, to those of our rentals. This unit DOES share walls with our own living space and we expect guests to use normal tones and normal tv/music volumes, particularly late at night. Apartment is located on a half-acre wooded lot in Chapel Hill's Booker Creek neighborhood, just adjacent Lake Forest. This is a quiet Chapel Hill Residential neighborhood with well-established properties and homes. A city walking trail just up the street creates a scenic 10-minute walk to Eastgate and Plaza Shopping Centers, with Starbucks, Brueggers Bagels, Whole Foods, Rite Aide, and numerous other shops and restaurants. It is 2 minutes by car from East Franklin Street (where it becomes the Durham/Chapel Hill Boulevard) which puts it within 5 minutes drive of UNC, and a 15 minute drive from Downtown Durham and Duke University. It is likewise a 5-minute drive to I-40 and therefore a 20 minute drive to RDU Airport. Two different bus lines pass within a block of our address, but buses do not pass directly by.
