A serene Guest Cottage nestled in a garden and located within walking distance to the local foodie restaurants. You’ll love the location and how quiet it is! The perfect set up for couples, solo travelers or business travel. It's open and bright. French doors, plenty of windows, and skylights to bring in natural light for an open feel. You'll be set up with a comfy mattress, quality linens and plush towels. Nothing more cozy than that! Don't forget about the Smart TV, work desk, and essentials! The entire cottage is professionally cleaned after every stay, so it will be spotless upon arrival! We don't have a full-service kitchen, but with plenty of great restaurants within walking distance, you can definitely use the mini-fridge and microwave for some leftovers! You may make yourself some coffee or tea (provided) too with the coffee maker. Please note the bed is a full, not a queen, but it is lovely, and has a plush duvet + comfy pillows with allergen protection. We also provide soft, thick towels. It couldn't get any better than this! The bathroom will be sparkling clean and stocked with basic essentials, including shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, and a hairdryer for your convenience. If you need to work while staying here, no worries! We have a desk w/ two chairs for working from home (that also conveniently doubles as an eating area). We do NOT have a washer/dryer, but there is a laundromat less than half a mile away! To top it all off, we have a large private backyard that includes outdoor seating, and IS shared with the owners. Have a cup of coffee in the sunshine or a glass of wine while enjoying the garden. You will have access to the entire private studio cottage, outdoor patio, and back yard! We have an electronic lock so you can check-in at any time with great security and no keys to lose! If we run into each other, be sure to say hi! We are located in a safe and quiet residential, tree-lined street in Portland's hottest neighborhood! Lovely and quiet, but just a few blocks from "restaurant row" (Division St.) and also easy walking to Hawthorne! Some local faves include Salt n’ Straw, the food cart alley off 37th, Blue Star Donuts, Little Big Burger, Atlas Pizza, Harlow, Waffle Window, Fried Egg I’m in Love, Olympia Provisions, Cibo, Farmhouse Kitchen Thai, St. Honore, Lauretta Jean’s, Stumptown Coffee, Petite Provence, The Automatic Bar, Sessionable, and SO much more. While we can't give out the address before booking for the safety of our team and Guests, you may view the approx. location on our listing or use nearby cross streets, SE Lincoln St. and SE 38th Avenue, as a point of reference! Street parking is easy, free, and always available right outside the main house! However, this is the absolutely the BEST location for public transit! The #75 (which runs North-South) and the FX2 (East-West) are each a 2-block walk away, and operate frequently. You can get anywhere in the city with these! It is also incredibly bike-friendly and walkable. There are Biketown bike rental stations within easy walking distance, as well. My neighborhood is also a “walker's paradise” with a perfect Walk Score! I have lived here without a car for many years, so your visit can be wonderful without a car, too. Uber/Lyft is very quick due to the prime location! This is not a handicap-accessible cottage and we have found that it is not ideal for elderly guests. This is a small space, 200 sq ft, so please verify the amenities provided and layout to ensure this cottage will make your trip a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
