This is a room in a single family house. This charming room with European flair is furnished with a queen size bed, dresser, chairs, and a desk. A mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and ironing board are located in an adjacent hallway, which, together with a private bathroom creates a private suite (separated from the main kitchen by curtains). It is a smoke-free house. We have a lovely Lab mix dog. NB: I perform robust disinfecting in the room and a bathroom before each guest arrival. The house was built in 1950s and has a mid-century flavor. It is located in a very quiet neighborhood. 10-15 min walk from downtown East Lansing and Michigan State University campus. CATA bus route 26 runs every 7-10 min during day. East Lansing post office and Public library are right across the road. Bus route 1 will take you to a Capitol building in downtown Lansing or a large shopping Meridian mall in Okemos. Freeway 127 and 496 are less than 5 min away. Nearby West Saginaw street will take you to Freeway 69 in less than 10 min. You can park your car on our driveway. I'll send you additional instructions where to park before check-in. Please note that our driveway is curved. Be careful not to hit a street light! Due to social distancing guidance, we are currently limiting guest access to a kitchen space, an adjacent sun room, and our backyard. You will have a full access to a small kitchenette equipped with a microwave, a mini-fridge, a coffee maker, and a tea kettle. Silverware and some kitchen utensils are provided. Cooking oil, salt, and some condiments are provided. Please note that we have no cable TV. Our TV shows local channels only. You can connect your laptop via HDMI cable (provided). I am always available via text or phone during your stay. If you want to have a company while you are staying - let me know. I am working full time, but my schedule is flexible. Furthermore, my family members may assist you in case if I am at work. Our neighborhood is quiet and relaxed. It is primarily residential area with very few rentals for MSU students. There is CATA bus 26 on Abbott rd every 10 min during semester and bus 25 on Harrison rd.. Let me know if you need bus schedules to get around. No pets allowed! We give 2 keys to our guests - one for the main entrance and one for their room. Lost keys will be charged $15 via AirBnB resolution. Please note that we are limiting access to the laundry room only if you are staying a week or longer. For guests wishing to use a laundry room with shorter stays we require an additional $5 fee. Please, note if you reserve the room, but do not arrive for ANY reason, and request a full refund - $15 fee will be charged.
