Located at the easterly tip of exclusive Rhett’s Bluff, and surrounded by water on three sides, this 6 bedroom/6.5 bath retreat offers privacy, security and exclusivity unique even to Kiawah. Features that allow guests the optimum connection with the home’s natural surroundings include an outdoor swimming pool, deck and spa, a large screen porch with additional dining accommodations, and a dock. The property, named “Moon River” by its owners for the spectacular moonlit evening views over the river and marshes, features an open and spacious floor plan with high ceilings, elevator access at every level, a family room, sitting room and library, and a beautifully appointed kitchen with granite countertops, built-in refrigeration, ice machine, two dishwashers, a six-burner professional stove and separate butler’s pantry. Every bedroom features a private bath and flat screen television. The large master bedroom on the second floor boasts an expansive balcony and panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows. Due to the complete privacy of the setting, the master bedroom windows remain untouched by a shade or curtain. The third floor king bedroom suite includes a separate sauna off the full bathroom. This serene home is perfect for large families on vacation, adult get-togethers, or executive golf or strategic retreats, and offers close proximity to all Kiawah amenities, as well as ample parking in and out of the garage. Beach access is a short bicycle ride to the path adjacent to the Sanctuary Hotel. Entertain your family, friends and colleagues in a truly world class setting. The home is equipped with washer, dryer, and high-speed wireless internet. This pool has a gas heater, so the pool and spa may be heated in cooler months for $100/per day for the entire stay. It can take 24-48 hours for the pool water to reach the optimal temperature of 85-87 degrees. When the air temperature falls below 55 degrees, typically November-March, pool heaters have difficulty achieving the optimal temperature. In this case, pool heating will not be available. Guest reservations of 3 to 21 nights come with a valuable credit to use towards beach gear rentals during your stay! The credit amount for this property is $400. You may use your credit for bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach carts, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and more – the choice is yours! Guests of Akers Ellis Rentals have access to Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s amenities of golf, tennis, spa, dining, and children’s camp. However, access to resort pools is restricted to guests renting properties managed directly through the resort. The Village Market is the nearest grocery store, which is located in Freshfields Village about two miles outside the island’s main gate. A small grocery, offering the most basic necessities, is also located within Town Center Market in Kiawah’s East Beach Village. Cars must be parked in the driveway of your rental property. Parking on the grass or landscaped areas is prohibited at all times. All parking must be off-street. Public transportation is not available on the island, but you may arrange for taxi service. After making your reservation, these terms and conditions will be sent to you via email from the rental company for your reference. • Check-in time is 4:00 PM. Check-out time is 10:00 AM. • Renter must be at least 25 years old. • Maximum occupancy is outlined in the listing description. • Group events, including, but not limited to, parties, weddings, receptions, and meetings, are not permitted at the rental property. • Renter is responsible for any damages and missing items caused by carelessness or negligence. • Renter must immediately notify rental company of any maintenance issues. • Pets are not permitted unless specified in the listing description along with applicable fees. Renter must obtain prior approval from rental company and pay related fees directly to rental company. • Smoking and open flames are not permitted at the rental property. Fireplaces may not be used. • Renter does not have access to resort-owned and operated pools. • All parking is limited to the number outlined in the listing description and must be off-street. • Storage of bicycles, beach gear, and other personal articles shall not be visible from the street or adjoining properties and must be placed in appropriate storage location overnight. • Noise ordinance is in effect daily from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. • Full-size vans (such as Sprinter, Transit, etc), RVs, campers, boats, trailers, jet skis, motorcycles, motorized bicycles, segways, and similar are not permitted. • Failure to comply with town rules and regulations may result in fines up to $1000 per citation and will be the responsibility of the renter to pay.
